UChicago - wrote some of my best essays here. Quirky essay revolved around a previous prompt that i edited a bit, and managed to connect a v niche thing to my ancestral heritage and culture. Why UChicago was also filled with unique experiences cuz of my sister.
Wharton - amazing essays according to all who read them, included a lot of specific stuff and stories as well.
Essays for the rest were also decent I’d say, not something that’d make me an auto admit definitely, but pretty good i guess.

Thoughts:
#1 - It didn't all work out the way I'd have wanted. NYU Stern is fucking great, I def know that, but can't help but feel a bit saddened by all the rejections, especially Wharton, given the amount of Wharton-specific stuff on my profile, as well as the LORs from Wharton-affiliated people, and the fact that my best essays were for them.
#2 - Another thing that could've affected me was that there were also some issues with my school since there was some drama regarding an applicant faking their resume, and that resulted in the school getting only 2 ivy acceptances in RD, while we have historically gotten more than 10 every year. We also got no acceptances from Duke, Stanford, or UChicago, despite historically getting at least 3-4, and having really great applicants this year.
#3 - Nevertheless, for all you internationals out there - there's a lot of luck involved in this process, especially if you're an applicant from an extremely competitive country like India or China. So definitely ensure that you've got good backups somewhere. I went all out for the USA, applying only to super-reaches because I knew that I had a good backup in India in case nothing worked out.
Keep looking out for opportunities for all types of extracurriculars, since they're a really important part of your application, and definitely ensure that your essays don't look refined or artificial, they should be something that makes the AO feel a personal connection with you.

An author's note: Please read this post in it's entirety before you message me, I've added a follow up to answer most of the basic questions I've been asked over the last 3 years since I started posting my AD.

All my previous iterations were mostly about what role I could fulfill; and while this mostly still is true, walking amongst the elites the last week has opened my eyes... I'm looking for a complacent trophy to put on full display. Arriving to this city I already had a deep... Passion for power, governance; and just over all domination -- Washington DC fulfills my lust, and thirst for both political power, and monetary gain. Tattoos: Sure, whatever, as long as it's not overwhelming or flat out tacky, in this day in age it's harder to find someone with none, so as the trend follows above.
Piercings: Depends, some people can pull off septum piercings, but I personally dislike them, so if it compliments your facial features, sure why not. But there is definitely a breaking point where it becomes overwhelming and you just look like Hellraiser.
Education: Strong preference towards educated women, this does not necessarily mean academics, open to all.
Profession: No preference, but I do tend to like women in psychology (I have my reasons.)
Personality: If I have to learn "your" pronouns, or apologize for my "white male privilege" you can fuck right off; I don't care about politics.
Children: Strong preference in favor of not having them, unless we never intend to meet, or you don't expect a level of commitment from me to them, then I don't readily care, non-factor. To explain a tad bit, it isn't that I can't, I just would rather not raise children, I have too many plans in life that children would derail, maybe later.

Well just to filter some things out, since I get this so many times... While I absolute love to talk about myself because I'm just such a narcissistic-hedonist, I also do get bored of repeating myself, even if it is a new person. "Were you formally diagnosed?"
I get asked about this A LOT, I'm not going to go into very many details, suffice it to say, yes, but it's been labeled as a misdiagnosis, all you need to know is I score high, and I do the things you'd expect, the pyromania, the violence that is actually associated at early age, the works, I'm not comfortable giving you more beyond that, and I will not be entertaining questions about my personal life, maybe a partner could ask me those questions, but I'm not letting you in my head, that's my game, not the other way around :).

"Why are you so open about it(ASPD)?"
Isn't it obvious? A lot of you can't fathom why someone with ASPD would just openly come out, and admit to people, well I guess I really should've brushed up on this when I first made my post, or at least go into a far more descriptive detail than I had originally, so here goes:

If I'm ever to lead a sort of a long term relationship based on trust, and honesty, just how in the HELL do you expect me to explain this to you ever so casually? It's best to show your cards in the beginning, this is my own baggage, or some form there of.

There's two reasons I'm choosing to do this online, and vehemently under anonymity; 99% of you will be irrelevant to me, 99% of you will never meet me, it's just that simple, ergo why wouldn't I just preface my entire description as such, and as brutally honest as possible? Secondly I do not want a partner whom I need to continue to wear a mask for, I want to be me, the real me, the good, the bad, and the ugly.

What I find the most is women that fetishize the entire ordeal, that's all fine and dandy, but it does show just a lack of understanding about what APSD is as a whole, and to be perfectly blunt, you're wasting my time, I don't need to feed into your lonely thrill romance you spun in your head from watching true crime dramas. More often than not, this what happens, spare us the role-playing, I'm just not that bored.

"Empathy"
One clear distinction I'd like to make, so I can stop getting asked about it, we DO have empathy, it's just not how YOU experience empathy. Think of a light switch, by default most of the population's is on, ours is off by default, and furthermore we have the ability to turn it on, and off. Yes, it is that simple, yes we use it for manipulation, now stop asking me about this, it's boring to repeat this.

"Emotions"
Boredom, rage. This is what I'm capable of in the dark, empathy off. I'm constantly seeking stimuli, if you notice by actually looking through my posts, I've moved a ton of times, and always national parks... New atmosphere, new adventures, new dangers, you know, the shit that gets your heart pumping, adrenaline. This is my favorite drug, this is the high I constantly chase to kill the boredom. Rage is just self explanatory, my defaults are animalistic.
I am fully capable of experiencing all emotions, it's just for the most part, because I don't want do, I don't allow myself to.

"Manipulation"
For the longest time I told myself who cares if I burn bridges in my wake, I'm building a highway in its place. Mostly still true, and I absolutely use it on a daily basis for survival, I must stress, and emphasize survival, here is why; I'm human, like the rest of you, what do you do on a daily basis, if not find means, and ways to survive, and entertain yourself? I know no other way other than to use people to my advantage, I minimize the damage where I can, and move about my daily existence, guilt, and worry free about doing any wrong, an argument could be made that we all use each other in some weight, or capacity, and that's good enough for me.

I'm sure by now you're probably wondering what the hell any of that has to do with anything, it's simple if the point flew over your head, again. I'm tired of manipulating people, using them, abusing them, discarding them, I didn't grow a conscious I'm not "growing" as a person, but much more likely, I'm just bored of the routine, or the process, which has become the symphony of my life.

"Love"
I by no means ever want to experience this love you all chase like Alice clumsily falling down the rabbit hole. I've seen it so much in my life it's downright pathetic, and I actually feel bad for those of you that have such strong emotions, see empaths. You're slaves to these emotions, you let people use and manipulate you, you've been hurt, and had your heart ripped from your chest, and it feels like you no longer have purpose, lacking direction, and meaning in life. I merely know this from generally observing humans for most of my natural born life. I'm more than happy to remain the way I have always been, and never wish to experience emotions in the way you do, I find it to be an advantage, one I can apply to more important things in life, like the pursuit of knowledge.

"Preferences"
My preferences, are just that, a list of my preferences, at no point in any of my writing did I say I was prejudice between one thing, or that I show favoritism. I merely made a chart listing some of the attributes that I myself, personally find to be significant to me, but that isn't to say, or detract from other things. It's the equivalent of asking me if I prefer Metallica, or Megadeth; well I'm going to say I prefer one over the other, but I enjoy both, and the genre as a whole, the genre being women in this case. I enjoy women for my own personal entertainment, and amusement -- which makes it all the more hilarious to me when I get called a misogynist.
so please spare me all your comments, and messages telling me that it's so "intimidating", if my post intimidates you, what can I really even begin to say about that? It doesn't sound like we'd be compatible, or much less you'd be able to accept me as a person, in any case this is a personal issue.

Grand Theft Auto V is still going strong nearly eight years after it first debuted on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 (remember those?), followed by a slightly newer re-release on Windows PCs and the the PS4 and Xbox One. To date, publisher Take-Two Interactive has sold over 150 million copies of GTA V on various platforms.
The publisher revealed the impressive sales stat as part of its earnings report for its fiscal first quarter of 2022. Looking at the data from the previous quarter, it means T2 sold an additional 5 million copies in the past three months. Not too shabby, given that GTA V is far from a new game at this point. That is not the end of it, either.
T2 plans to launch an "expanded and enhanced version" for the latest generation game consoles, those being the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, on November 11, 2021. Developer Rockstar Games had previously said the updated version will bring "new features and more" to the table, but the details are still largely a mystery.
"The new generation versions of GTAV will feature a range of technical improvements, visual upgrades and performance enhancements to take full advantage of the latest hardware, making the game more beautiful and more responsive than ever," Rockstar Games said last year.

It seems like we have been hearing rumors about Grand Theft Auto 6 since the beginning of time, though in reality, it has only been almost that long. If you were hoping for some clarity with a release finally being around the bend, well, brace yourself—we could be in for several more years of rumors, not just weeks or even months.
Naturally, the folks at Rockstar Games are not offering up any juicy tidbits about the inevitable release. So everything we know, or think we know, has come by way of leaks and rumors. To that end, multiple leakers are reporting that GTA 6 might not come out until 2024 or even sometime 2025. As things stand right now, YouTuber Tom Henderson says the next version of GTA is very early in development.
Henderson notes that, historically, he has not been associated with GTA leaks (he's been more plugged into the Battlefield scene), but the information he shared in a YouTube video is based on what he has heard from multiple sources. He is not the only one that is hearing GTA 6 is still several years away from being released, either.

Given the success of GTA Online, it seems Rockstar Games might not be in a rush to push out another major release. At the same time, it's said the developer is focusing "very heavily on employee well being," which in part means avoiding the crunch that precedes a game's release. However, there is at least one other factor at play as well.
It's said GTA 6 will launch on PC and the latest generation game consoles (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S). By taking its time in releasing GTA 6, Rockstar Games will have a much wider audience of compatible console owners to drum up sales. And while not mentioned, the same could be true in the PC space, as hopefully discrete GPUs will be plentiful again by the the time GTA 6 arrives.
As for the setting, Henderson says GTA 6 will in fact mark a return to Vice City. Rockstar Games may opt to add more locations to the map over time (post launch), but it looks like a modern take on Vice City is headed to the GTA universe.
Given how much we had playing Grand Theft Auto V when it came to PC several years ago (and still holds up today), we're excited to see what GTA 6 brings to the table, even if it means waiting another 3-4 years.

Violence is on the rise in Chicago, and lawmakers are looking for ways to drive those numbers back down. One stat that has drawn attention in recent weeks is the city's number of carjackings. According to Chicago police, carjacking surged by 134 percent for 2020, bringing the total to 1,415. Rep. Marcus Evans Jr. (D), whose district covers Chicago's South Side, wants a sales ban to minors on violent video games like Grand Theft Auto. Evans is proposing an amendment to an existing 2012 law that prevents the sale of violent video games to minors. Illinois House Bill 3531 (HB3531) has been updated to add the following language:
Modifies the definition of "violent video game" to mean a video game that allows a user or player to control a character within the video game that is encouraged to perpetuate human-on-human violence in which the player kills or otherwise causes serious physical or psychological harm to another human or an animal...
Modifies the definition of "serious physical harm" to include psychological harm and child abuse, sexual abuse, animal abuse, domestic violence, violence against women, or motor vehicle theft with a driver or passenger present inside the vehicle when the theft begins.
The above-bolded text is pertinent to Grand Theft Auto, a widely popular game franchise that allows you to perform carjackings (among other violent and heinous acts). However, what's interesting is that games like Grand Theft Auto and its ilk have been around for decades; this is nothing new. A game like Grand Theft Auto alone couldn't possibly be responsible for the rise in the city's carjackings. Still, lawmakers and city officials are seemingly trying to tie the young ages of some of the carjacking suspects with the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic means that many children are at home, spending more time playing video games.

"I feel like this game has become a huge issue in this spectrum," said Walker in an interview with the Chicago Sun-Times. "When you compare the two, you see harsh similarities as it relates to these carjackings."
As a counterpoint to the rumblings in Chicago, a decade-long study concluded that this is no credible link between kids playing violent video games and, in-turn exhibiting violent behavior.

Germany, the number one economic power in Europe, launched two world wars in modern times had brought great destruction and disaster to the world, after the war in order to completely eliminate the threat of Germany, Britain, France, the United States and the Soviet Union to Germany and Berlin partitioned occupation, a weak Germany is more in line with the interests of Europe.
However, after the start of the Eastern European upheaval, East and West Germany reunited again under the astonished eyes of the world, why would Europe and the United States allow Germany to reunite? Why did Europe and the United States allow Germany to reunite? Were they not afraid that Germany would become strong again after reunification and threaten the security of Europe? What secrets are hidden in this?

Germany's unification process was relatively late in history, and the German Empire was not established until Prussia completed the unification of Germany in 1871.
Because of the late unification of Germany, the world was basically divided up by other Western powers after the unification of Germany. As the international situation changed, the British, French, and American occupations merged in 1948 to create the Federal Republic of Germany, followed by the creation of the GDR in the Soviet occupation zone, and Germany was officially split into two sovereign states.
This division was forced upon Germany, and in the hearts of the Germans they were always one nation, so they looked forward to the day when they would be united again. With the intensification of the Cold War between the two camps, the GDR built the Berlin Wall in 1961, which became a knife in the hearts of the German people and deeply stabbed the nerves of every German until the reunification of Germany.
How could Germany, which was divided at the end of World War II, be reunited under the gaze of the powers?
In the 1970s, relations between East and West Germany eased, and the two countries began to have some constructive interactions. In 1972, the two countries signed the Treaty on the Foundations of Relations between them, establishing good neighborly relations on an equal footing and "mutual permanent representation," and in 1973, both countries joined the United Nations at the same time.
In the 1980s, as the international situation changed, the bilateral relations between the two countries were further developed and a number of measures were taken to ease relations between the two countries. For example, the expansion of highways between the two countries, the relaxation of travel conditions from East Germany to West Germany, the opening of the border between the two countries, and the establishment of an economic community between the two countries were some of the initiatives taken.
In 1989, West Germany proposed a ten-point plan for German reuniication, and later East Germany proposed a four-step program for German reunification, which put German reunification on the agenda.
The news of German reunification caused an uproar in European countries. Britain, France, the U.S. and the Soviet Union did not agree on the reunification of Germany: President Bush wrote in the New York Times, "I'm not worried about the reunified Germany that some European countries fear." French President Mitterrand said at a media conference, "I am not worried about a reunited Germany, and I see the willingness of Germany to reunite as reasonable." British Thatcher, however, expressed opposition to German reunification, and Thatcher expressed strong resistance to German reunification in meetings with both Mitterrand and Gorbachev.
To the Germans, the attitude of the Soviet Union toward German unification appeared crucial. Because the Soviet Union was not only a world power with significant influence on Europe, but also had 150,000 troops stationed in the Soviet Union in East Germany. If the support of the Soviet Union could be obtained, then the German unification would be much smoother.
In order to gain the Soviet Union's support for German unification, Germany supported the reforms carried out by Mikhail Gorbachev, extended the debts due to the Soviet Union, and cooperated with the Soviet Union in various fields such as economics and security. on January 24, 1990, after reading in the "Pictorial" newspaper that the Soviet Union did not oppose German unification, German Chancellor Kohl decided to supply the Soviet Union with 52,000 tons of canned beef, 50,000 tons of pork, 20,000 tons of butter, and 15,000 tons of butter. 10,000 tons of butter, 15,000 tons of milk powder, and 5,000 tons of cheese. To ensure friendly prices, the government subsidized them with 220 million deutsche marks from the federal budget. The German overtures made the Soviet Union feel that German reunification would not be bad for the Soviet Union and that the Soviet Union could instead use the opportunity to cooperate with Germany in more areas. Gorbachev wrote in his book "I and the Unification of East and West Germany" that the unification of Germany was a matter for Germany itself. The Soviet Union's support for German unification allowed the process of German unification to advance smoothly.
How did Germany, which was divided at the end of World War II, manage to reunite under the gaze of the powers?

Germany renounced the manufacture, possession, and control of nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons, and reduced its military to 370,000 within three or four years. A unified Germany was required to remain within NATO and the European Community.
On October 3, 1990, East Germany joined West Germany, unifying the two German states that had been divided for more than 40 years.
In summary, Germany became a world economic power after reunification, but Germany is still limited in military development, the United States still has 34,000 troops in Germany, and Germany has given up recourse to the territories that were ceded to Poland and Russia, which is on the one hand the punishment for Germany to start the war, and on the other hand the price that Germany can pay for reunification.

Grand Theft Auto V is still going strong nearly eight years after it first debuted on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 (remember those?), followed by a slightly newer re-release on Windows PCs and the the PS4 and Xbox One. To date, publisher Take-Two Interactive has sold over 150 million copies of GTA V on various platforms.
The publisher revealed the impressive sales stat as part of its earnings report for its fiscal first quarter of 2022. Looking at the data from the previous quarter, it means T2 sold an additional 5 million copies in the past three months. Not too shabby, given that GTA V is far from a new game at this point. That is not the end of it, either.
T2 plans to launch an "expanded and enhanced version" for the latest generation game consoles, those being the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, on November 11, 2021. Developer Rockstar Games had previously said the updated version will bring "new features and more" to the table, but the details are still largely a mystery.
"The new generation versions of GTAV will feature a range of technical improvements, visual upgrades and performance enhancements to take full advantage of the latest hardware, making the game more beautiful and more responsive than ever," Rockstar Games said last year.
