When I (F27) was 18, my first boyfriend dumped me hard. I won’t get into the specifics of the three-year relationship, but trust that it was inappropriate and very toxic (we started dating two days after I turned 15, he was 17, almost 18 at the time). He came to visit me at my college while I was on spring break. About three days into what was supposed to be a week-long trip, he dumped me, changed his flight, and left the next morning. I was alone on campus; all of my friends were gone on vacation. He called the police on me because I was suicidal. He blogged about the experience on his (public) Tumblr shortly after it happened and compared the way I collapsed onto the floor screaming and crying in pain to Nancy Kerrigan’s reaction to being beaten.
The next year, I learned from snooping on his Tumblr that he cheated on me with some girl he met at a party before I lost my virginity to him—something we had talked about at length and planned, because he knew I was a virgin when we met. I was fucking devastated. It destroyed the small amount of progress I had made.
Another year after that, sometime in 2016, in a moment of courage, I found him on Instagram, added him, and told him I knew he cheated on me and otherwise admonished him for being such a terrible person while we were together. I had spent years and years wondering why I wasn’t good enough, what I possibly could have done to deserve being treated the way he treated me, beating myself to a fucking pulp, convincing myself that I was so unworthy and disgusting and fundamentally unsexy, undesirable, and broken. I was so stuck on how unfair life is: that someone could move about this earth so selfishly, so cruelly, hurting people and suffering little to no consequences. Stuck on how some people just get to move on while leaving chaos in their wake. I was still, admittedly, hung up on those feelings when I called him out.
Fast forward to February of this year. We’ve been mutuals on IG this whole time but don’t generally interact and never talk. He got married sometime in 2022. I liked his post of pictures of his wedding. I was drinking one night and in a tipsy, playful mood. I decided to send him a meme that reminded me of the person he used to be, teasing him in the process. A conversation ensued.
What started as a pretty normal conversation—in which he finally admitted he had been continuously cheating on me throughout our entire relationship—so very quickly devolved into an extremely bizarre, degrading, and hypersexual interview. He asked me to let him know if I ever started an OF, admitted he was cruising camming sites for months after we broke up looking for any sign of me. He told me I was responsible for this and that fetish he still has to this day, was asking me for details about my various sexual pursuits since we broke up, my current sexual preferences. Kept offering information about his and his wife’s sex life that I absolutely did request. He bragged about having never needed therapy after I joked (but of course truly meant) I’d be in therapy forever in part because of him. He told me I’m the coolest person he’s ever known and that he’ll be grateful forever that we will always have a shared experience.
And in that moment, I realized, sometimes closure isn’t this big, cinematic moment of revenge that some of us fantasize about. Sometimes, closure is realizing that 10 years after the fact, while you were growing, healing, figuring life out, and fighting to be the best person you can possibly be, that other person hasn’t grown at all.
I’m going through another breakup of sorts, this time with a person (M48) who was very cruel and selfish and, unfortunately, similarly sexually degrading. The difference this time, however, is that I have the perspective to know none of his behaviors are a reflection of me. None of this has anything to do with how beautiful I am, how desirable, fun, sexy, intelligent, and perceptive (all words he used to describe me, and I’m in complete agreement with him). And while I may be ruminating a bit too much on fantasies of revenge and of getting the closure I want, the logical voice inside my knowing heart says to me: there is a reason this gentle, yet pitifully broken man is 48 and alone.

I've been using YouTube for sound effects for my videos as well as freesound.org , but freesound.org doesn't really have all the simple meme/vlog sound effects that you hear in most Youtube videos, and taking the sound effects directly from YouTube takes too long.
Is there a free website that has these sound effects that I can just download straight from the site?

As the title states, pretend that the internet does not exist. With that imaginary concept, how would you then go about viewing footage of UFO sightings? One step further, how often do you think YOU (not anyone else, but just YOU) would see a UFO in person?
What I am getting at here is that I have a feeling a great majority of those who are into this (which there's nothing wrong with that) have never seen a UFO in person.
Now, I'm not talking about some speck in the very distant sky, or something that would most likely be some kid's balloon or something similar. I am talking the footage we typically see online of what appear to be crafts...traditional saucers/ships/etc. The good stuff, the credible footage. That's what I am referring to here.
So, regarding "the good stuff and credible footage", how often would YOU see something like that in real life...NOT online?
Sure, some on here might have seen something, and if so, that's great. Wonderful. But the vast majority have NOT seen anything in real life with their own eyes...just footage online in the form of some pic or vid. I'm talking completely offline sightings, folks...not tales from another, but that YOU saw and saw IN PERSON.
Again, let's pretend the internet does NOT exist here, and go back to the original question:
How would you then go about viewing footage of UFO sightings if the internet did not exist?
Of course it would be difficult, because the sources for such footage would be limited. Now, with the sources limited, how often would you even hear about much of this? Sure, there's printed material and academic journals...but those of course would cost money (or money to access), and not everyone's a fan of spending their cash.
All of this leads to two final questions:
1) Can I see these crafts in person AND regularly, WITHOUT the use of the internet or any footage/pics at all? Yes or No?
2) If this is possible, can anyone provide consistent locations, typical viewing times, and specific types of crafts I would be able to see?
If this is possible, thank you.

I'm on mobile so I apologize if my formatting sucks. And I apologize in advance for the long post.
So I completed the game, went in blind. I've heard of the game, and even seen a few memes on the sites I goto for some laughs, and honestly?... This game was worth the money, and well done. But I don't think I can play it again for awhile.
A little bit of context into what I mean; I've played horror games for as long as I have been playing video games. I love horror, I love being scared and persevering through it. Movies and shows are pretty much the same thing. I'm not startled easily or disturbed. I'm sure years of exposure to that stuff and culture really builds a tolerance. But fuck me, this was/is a different kind of horror altogether.
I went through a severe depression as a teen/young adult, im most certainly not alone in that, but the first thing that hit almost to close to home, was Sayori. When she kills herself and the protagonist (you) lament how she was always happy- doing her best to make others happy ect.. I know that all to well, I had a solid group of friends and still do. My high-school life had its issues for sure, but it was overall positive. I wasn't ever alone if I didn't want to be, and I involved myself with extra-curricular activities here and there. But still. I was almost to the point that sayori was in my life. And it struck a chord with me. When I saw it all happening over those days leading up to you checking in, my blood felt like it had frozen and my heart felt like it was made of lead and sunk. The emotional weight was crushing. I felt like it was almost physical the pain in chest. It was overwhelming how much of me was on the screen. And it was only then that I realized those warnings weren't a "ironic scary adult" game warnings. That was a crushing-terror inducing realization.
The second thing that hit me as hard as it did, was that, despite it all I tried to shake sayori and remind myself it's a psychological horror, "there is going to be shit like that, you've overcome worse and your here." So I persevere and continue to "Romance yuri". That was a mistake. Much like it was when I fell for a woman who was similar enough that I thought of her near instantly, when I got closer to Yuri. She was introverted and didn't care much for going out. She was a homebody who seemed to just enjoy her time alone. I was okay with that. But she got possessive, I didn't know what gaslighting was, I didn't know that she was isolating me from friends, from family. I justified it anyway I could. And looking back now, it was terrible abuse. And I was afraid of her, the things she would do. As much as I was in love with her, she was unusual in private, Fucking hell she even had scars up and down her arms and legs. But I saw..none of it. It took my family and friends to tell me something was seriously wrong and I needed to get out. I pushed back. I said shit I wasn't proud of. And I dont know if to this day if I could say no to her anymore now then back then.. but I feel insane that I felt that Yuri was my natural choice. And when she dies as well. Spending that weekend after she stabs herself. I didn't skip. Didn't think it I syared at the screen in absolute shock and forgive me for using so often but..horror. That woman I was with had threated to kill herself to me in private before. And again this shit hit way to close for comfort. My blood frozen and chest feeling like it has bricks on top of it...
I know I'm a complete stranger, but I kinda want to some solace that these feelings will pass. That there are others who have maybe felt the same way...somehow..and they are okay. Cause while I finished the game and have some weird feeling of closure...I can't shake this tightness in my chest. I'm okay physically. But this feels akin to terror, and...loss? Loneliness? Heartbreak maybe?..I have a good social life, have for a while. I can say that with confidence. But I don't know, that's how I feel. Anyways thank you for reading everyone and sorry for the semi-essay!

Our community strives to be a friendly and safe space where our community members can participate and enjoy discussions about kdramas. To that end, we ask participants to be kind to each other, by remembering the human both behind and on the screen -- including the actors and actresses and staff members that makes the drama. Harassment, threats, bullying, personal attacks, racism, hate speech, and other similar negative behaviors are prohibited in this subreddit.
There are consequences for what you post. Remember that others do not have to tolerate insults, harassment, racism, sexism, or any other types of negative behavior. While we are not a support subreddit, we aim to be supportive of each other in our love for kdramas.

New to our community and daunted by our Rules and Policies for posting? The best way to start your interaction with our community is by participating in our scheduled posts or On-Air Discussions. There's at least one per day of the week so that there is always a post you can participate in. These posts are very friendly and community-oriented -- a great way to dip your toe into conversations without the pressure of making a post. This will help newcomers to our subreddit get a better feel for the style and type of discourse in our community, which may be much more actively moderated in comparison to other spaces.

On-Air Discussions
On-Air Discussions are dedicated weekly discussion posts for currently airing dramas. They are hosted by volunteers from the community to create a dedicated space each week to discuss what has happened in that drama for that week. On-Air drama discussions reduce clutter on the front page of the subreddit by centralizing discussion and all related content, such as news updates, previews, interviews, behind the scenes videos, etc.. For currently airing dramas with On-Air discussions, no other discussion posts are allowed, see our full Rules for details.

Drama Reviews
We welcome well-written detailed drama reviews. Reviews should be for completed series only -- that is the series has finished airing all of its episodes and the reviewer has watched the entire drama. Reviews where the reviewer has not fully completed the drama will be removed. For those that just want to write a short blurb about a drama, feel free to share in any of our weekly discussion threads instead. See our tips on how to write a helpful review.
Reviews are moderated according to our moderation guidelines for reviews for content. Other rules and policies, such as On-Air or review megathread rules, still apply. Notably, reviews are subject to moderation for frequency under our Rehashed Discussions rule.
Fanart And Memes
We have a Designated Day, currently every Tuesday from 00:00-23:59 KST (UTC +9), on which we allow our members to share up to two (2) self posts of either qualified Fanart or Memes on KDRAMA. Fanart and meme posts are not permitted outside of Designated Days. Please review our Designated Day rules fully before submission.
News
We are not a news oriented subreddit though they are permitted as posts with restrictions on type of and source of news. Please fully review our Rules and Polices on news items before submission. If you are seeking to be kept updated with any entertainment news other than official casting news, we strongly recommend you seek out other sources beyond our subreddit such as Soompi.
OST And Promotional Material
We only allow official OSTs and promotional material (previews, teasers, posters) in our subreddit with restrictions on frequency and airing status of dramas. Please fully review our Rules on OSTs and promotional material before submission. There are post title requirements, please follow them.

I'm New To Kdramas, What Basics Should I Know?
For new watchers of kdramas, we strongly recommend taking a read through our basic FAQ, our KDRAMAS 101, and our Glossary as a starting point to get to know and understand kdramas better.

Tfw when I can't marry a man that I have met since college (and be together a little bit over a decade) and within that time I'll never question his loyalty towards our relationship. And then afterwards he'll insist on naming our son (which we got after he got me boy pregnant) "Alberto" after a man who saved him from drowning when he was a kid. And I'll think it's a bit strange but I won't question because I'm a cute little well behaved bottom fkfkkd 🥺🥺
And he'll take my last name Barbosa owing to my Portuguese heritage. And afterwards I'll find out "Alberto Barbosa" is kind of a meme name on the gay internet sites he frequents. I'll find out about it after discovering a folder called "Alberto Barbosa" on his laptop after we finish our gay breeding session, I'll see what seems like hundreds of pictures of an African American man with kind of a Portuguese themed turban. I then reverse image search to find out the name's true meaning. And since this discovery, I'll feel slowly paranoid that the only reason he took my name in the first place was because of this meme. We get boy-married aftearound the time the meme has been created. Before that I had always assumed I would just take his name as a proud boywife, until he said he wanted to take mine (an act I was actually touched by and found very sweet, ugh... 🙄❤️🥺).
The entire ordeal gets me so mad. On the one hand, it's just a name, but on the other hand he went behind my back to name our first born son over a stupid bloody internet meme. What's worse is that he refuses to have our son's name changed and insists it's just a coincidence, which is a load of bullshit considering the amount of images he had saved of this. He then refuses to acknowledge this as a serious problem and I'm so furious with him, but ultimately my bottom ass feels so powerless given he provides for me (his boywife) and our newborn.
I get mad and tired for rambling and then he cuddles and teases me as we fall asleep on our bed. I then needed to get this ridiculous and infuriating issue of my boy chest as I'm too embarrassed to tell my friends and family of his actions 🥺🥺🥺
