Clearly this is personal and everyone will have their idea based on their interests and personal experience (especially when it comes to the first game which holds a special place)
But I was wondering if you think there is a “proper” or optimal way to explore the different souls/from soft games. Not storywise but other things considered: easter eggs, gameplay, challenge wise. And especially that wow factor and subverted expectations.
For example there are some “wrong” sequences that lower the enjoyment.
Like if you do ds3 first you clearly lose some of the references and fan service to ds1 and it is also harder and faster than the previous ds titles. If you play bb first you will be too strong and fast/dynamic to enjoy the first time you slowly go through undead burg in ds1 and will parry everything. And the whole not having a shield in bb falls flat if you haven’t played with a shield before. If you do sekiro first I think that you lose the confidence that you are a souls veteran who can dodge everything being shattered while you are massacred trying to dodge. Maybe If you do Elden ring before all the dark souls all those possibilities make it so that if you play ds1 or bb after you will feel too constrained (like spell usage for example, also the hub areas in following games for you will be round table holds and you will talk about sites of grace and that is completely WRONG - they are firelink full stop :)
My progression was ds1. Unforgettable. Followed by ds2 (hated the combat and didn’t like the level design, but still like the story and scale of the world more than other ds). then ds3 as a polished final product and version of ds1 (too much fan service though and hated the hub area). Then BB (Which I think is the best of them all and one of the best games of all time). Then when I was all cocky, sekiro which wrecked me until it also finally clicked and I became flawless in everything. Then demon souls and finally Elden ring.
These last two I liked don’t get me wrong but somehow didn’t give me the same wow feelings of something genuinely new. Also they were very easy compared to what I had seen before (except unfair Malenia which I still need to respec my build every time and use arcane/bloodloss to beat).
So I feel that my experience of doing ds1,ds2,ds3,bb,sekiro was perfect, then it may have fallen a bit flat.
So I would argue that one possible “best” way could be 1st: Ds1 to be blown away by level design and feeling of being lost in the huge world. To forever have firelink shrine seared in your brain (which again, is THE hub) and most importantly to fall in love with the genre. 2nd: demons souls to have more of the same and make appreciate ds1 even more, 3rd: ds3 to revisit locations and close the story. 4th: Ds2 to surprise you and depart from the formula and storywise go to the end of these infinite cycles. 5th: Elden ring to have that ds experience on steroids with more opportunities for difference and everything of before put together - the culmination of it all (fp bars, dual wielding, regenerative items, etc) 6th: BB to give you again that feeling of new and the constrained play/few weapons/armoumagic usage etc and the best world and atmosphere (also the chalice dungeons are better than Elden ring dungeons and there are no stray demons reskins so it is an improvement) And finally 7th: when you put hours in these games and have become a rolling dodge master and think that you are a veteran,sekiro to get back to being a noob that needs to learn everything again.

1a) Does iceblades enchantment passive summon your CURRENT rank of ice blades, or ice blades rank 1? I think the blood mist necros were saying they were always getting rank 1 corpse explosion from blood mist. Though that may be different since granted through affix rather than enchantment, not sure. 1b) And same question for unstable currents' random casts out of curiousity.
Also, I wonder if 2a) conjurations' damage is based off your weapon damage, and if not, 2b) if a fast onehander would be good for an arc lash iceblades build for more unstable currents procs, or if you'd still want 2h for bigger leg aspect and arc lash damage per cast.
It seems like most caster builds want 2h in this game since most skill damage seems to be based off it if I'm reading things correctly, not to mention the doubled and thus easier affixes. 3) Is that mostly correct?

I have successfully done the softmod for adding TMNT to the Simpsons cab. My question is, can you add the Rampage/Gauntlet/Defender APK to the cabinet as well? Gauntlet and Rampage use the same button layout. Just curious if anyone has tried it yet or if there is even an APK for it. I'm assuming not because it's first gen.

My son is 20 months (19 adj) and has been sleep trained to sleep in his crib since 6 months. He has always been an early riser (5:15-5:45 am) but for the last 2 weeks or so he has been waking between 3:45 and 4:45 am) and also having a wake up around 11-1:30 where he screams until one of us comes in his room and lies on the floor next to his crib which is when he will settle down but still not fall back to sleep for an hour and fuss if we try to leave. He goes to bed between 7 and 7:30 pm and has daytime sleep of 1.5-2.5 hrs. The sleep deprivation on my husband and me is really getting to be too much. We both work full time and are in a fog since this has been ongoing for since time. This is probably why kids just end up in the parents bed out of desperation, but we are trying to avoid creating new issues just to solve this one. Anyone been through this that can offer advice? We are desperate.

so i came out as nonbinary a little over a year ago and my partner has been very respectful of it ever since. he uses the right pronouns, is very apologetic if he says she/her (i used to identify as female), he’ll correct people if they get it wrong, uses gender neutral nicknames/pet names.
i have been told im overreacting and ive also been told its understandable as to why i think this. he has only been attracted to women and has identified as straight his whole life. he agrees he is technically not straight now because he is dating me, and im glad hes respecting it in that way too.
i like to lean towards looking more androgynous/masculine, and i know he prefers more feminine attire on me, though he never pushes me to look a certain way. i know he’s attracted to me but i know he also has a “type” and i don’t really fit into that category. i know if he didnt care he wouldnt be with me but i just can’t shake the feeling he would be better off with an actual woman.

Republican lawmakers in Texas proposed a bill that would enable the secretary of state to overturn election results in counties that have one million residents or more.
This is worth repeating. The proposed bill would allow a Secretary of State, on little more than a whim or for barely disguised political retribution, to overturn the results of a legitimate election and order a new election if he doesn’t like the outcome.
The bill doesn’t specify how many times he can do it until his choice of candidate wins.

Diagnosed with flat feet at 8, orthopedic shoes and custom insoles have been used since to little sucess. I wasnt very active as a child and everyone thought I was lazy but I was simply avoiding movement due to the ever increasing pain with increasing activity.
I used to be quite poor so I only wore vans or converse for most of my life till my 20s, when I got into nursing school I had to drop out due to the insane burning pain around my ankle and heels, also wore cheap shoes till then.
I got diagnosed with chronic pain, hypermobility of all joints and flat/knick feet (not sure about the english term) during the first real orthopedic clinic exam i had when I dropped out from school.
I went from taking NSAIds going from the weakest to strongest to some anti rheumatism pills for many months with no effect, gabapetin/pregabalin and ended up with tramadol which helps slightly.
Ive been to physical rehabilitation where they taught me how to do physical therapy to strengthen my arches,stretch my calves and mobilise the entire sole and ankle. Lots of balancing movements like standing on one leg etc to strengthen my stabilising muscles. I was taught how to cope with the pain. Lots of walking, trying out different sports etc. While I did build some more confidence in my abilities I am still quite uncomfortable when doing mundane tasks such as shopping or going out with friends.

Now comes the interesting bit, the MRI scan done on each foot seperately.
Everything looks intact so no inflammation or torn ligaments or fragmented/fused bones.
However on the right foot I have "os trigulum" which is an accessory bone that is supposed to fuse into the ankle/heel bone during adolescence. Also there are small (4mm long) "beak-like" bone growths (spurs i suppose) between the Calcaneus ( heel bone ) and Os naviculare here is a visualisation of the bone spurs between the exact bones affected
On the left foot I have no spurs or extra bones. There is however a joint effusion in this part of the foot. Interestingly enough you cant see it looking at the soles so its rather minor.
I really want to be active and hike a lot, I am willing to work on my fallen arches and ankles for the rest of my life so that they can carry me through many adventures to come, however I am sometimes a bit lost on what to do. Ive been losing weight to combat the pressure on my heels and massage them daily.

This is where my question comes in place.
Do you think that a pain med injection in those sites would resolve my problem?
If all those meds including opiates barely help should I take the plunge and get the spurs operated?
Is it worth looking into if i have EDS?

I (f20) had a rough time growing up. My dad (m52) was a drug addict and an alchoholic, and always took his frustrations out on me, my sister (f27) and brother (m23). I will not go to much into detail because it is really graphic but my childhood consisted of beating and SA. it went on for 7 years. My mother built up the courige to leave (please keep in mind. My Mother was threatened with us being killed or her killed if she left). Either way we got out. And life started to look up. I have gone to the therapist for 9 years now and feel better about myself and feel comfy talking about it now.
Life now is pretty good. I have an amazing boyfriend who i live with and i am at peace with myself and what i went through.
Now onto the karma. He got cancer. He tried to call my grandparents since i have him blocked everywhere, to reach out to talk to me (the reason he only tried to reach me is bc i am his only bio kid) my grandparents heard him out then said its my decision if i want to talk to him and that they fully understand if i dont want to. But i decided to hear him out. He is still a fucking narcissist and is not acknowledging all the fucked up shit he did to me as a child. So i told him to burn in hell and to never contact me or my family again and that i hate him for what he did. He robbed me and my siblings of a normal childhood. And i will never forgive him for that.
He passed away 3 days ago. And i feel awful for saying it but i am happy. I am happy that i never have to worry about meeting him ever again. I am finally free. And i am happy. So that was my rant. Thankyou for reading it.

Hey guys,
I’m working on an asset pack. I’m using BP mesh assemblies for quicker level iteration (ie, wall pieces with parameters for color, different accent details, sometimes even includes animation, etc.).
I want to include larger assembled pieces as examples/prefabs (complete buildings). Problem is, I can’t collapse them into a single mesh (that loses all the blueprint info). Collapsing them into a BP is also a little bit of a nightmare (when the BPs copy over and become children of the “container” BP, the parameter settings break). Same problem with MegaAssemblies in UE5.
I could try building within the blueprint editor, but that has two downsides: I hate working within the blueprint editor. But also, selecting the sub-BPs within the container BP is a little cumbersome in the level editor. I’d like the end-user experience to be as smooth as possible.
This is ALL to say, I’ve found the best solution is to simply save the prefab as a level, add it to the current level using “Add Existing…” in the level window, and then set the streaming method to “always loaded”.
I just want to make sure this would be a viable method for most users? I don’t have a lot of experience (well, none) with level streaming. Are there any performance concerns? Or potential conflicts arising from working this way within a game?

What happens in this case: if I merge bunch of open source fine tuned models based on some open source AI model and tweak them further then have it on my website so users can generate images based on the positive and negative prompts.
I have an extensive banned keywords list and have clearly mentioned use of anything illegal or creating deep fakes of others is against the terms of service, etc.
Hypothetically, what happens if someone generates something not appropriate and or illegal that is against my terms of service but was not caught by my prompt filter. Will I get in trouble or not since I have clearly mentioned what’s allowed and not allowed in my terms of service and done my best to filter prompts?

As title suggest, I’m after a body to create a replica of a 1966 fender precision bass. I’d prefer an Alder body (as I believe that’s what they used back then). I was wondering if anyone knows any UK or EU suppliers that sell Alder p bass bodies, machined to the exact dimensions/specs of a standard fender p bass, so I can use a proper fender pickguard.
As long as the body is correctly shaped, and the neck and pickup/control cavities are all routed out, I’m not fussed wether it is unfinished/I sanded or in need of bridge/ground wire/screw hole mounts drilling.

You have space to drive up like five or ten yards before you start turning, making shallow turns like that make the people in the other left turn lane super nervous, and not to mention that if any sort of collision does happen, it’s gonna be the fault of the person who’s waiting to turn. Share the damn road.

I’m still a newbie with my Steam Deck and so I’m still figuring things out. I’ve been having issues over the last few days with games not loading textures or even map geometry, then freezing for a couple seconds at a time before crashing the Deck entirely. GTA5 was the worst for this but Jedi Fallen Order crashes when travelling to a new world and Sunset Overdrive crashes when passing the Microsoft/Insomniac Games title screen. Is it likely to be an issue with the SteamOS version (3.4.6) or is this todo with my storage setup? 64GB Steam Deck with a 512GB SanDick Ultra microSD (which I think maxes out at 120Mbps?). I’ve uninstalled GTA5 because I only had about 8GB of remaining internal storage (now I have 15GB) and about 60GB on my SD card but it didn’t fix things. Appreciate any guidance you guys can give me 🙂

I had a pretty traumatic childhood. Grew up with a present but absent father. He was very aggressive towards us. He never sexually abused me or my sisters. But he was verbally aggressive and physically aggressive. I grew up responding to emotions the same way he did, after all that’s what I learned. It was not my fault, I was just a kid. I wanted to be loved, understood, taught the right way to love and be loved. Nobody reported it. That was not common those days. My mom did the best she could with what she had. She was a victim of his intimidation too. She was afraid of him, even though he was not abusive physically with her. Yes, she should have left him before. But, I can’t judge her because I have never been in an abusive relationship as an adult. I bet if she thought she could, she would have left sooner. She felt trapped. Almost all my childhood memories are full of shame, pain and sadness. I grew up, searched for counseling and have been years learning new ways to cope with my emotions.
However, even though I am such a better person now and barely think about my past, I still choose men wrong. I pay attention to looks, they are almost all broke, and have all issues. (Not like I don’t have mine). But I am a strong, independent woman. That has so much to offer. And I would love to choose men wisely. How can I unlearn those patterns, how can I stop needing validation from men that only give their minimal effort? I was reading is low self-esteem? But I think I have a great self esteem.
I feel like no matter how hard I try, my past (which I didn’t choose to be born in my family) follows me in a way. I have given my kids the most amazing life ever, they are the happiest kids in the world. They are empathetic, loving, caring, such good kids. I have changed the cycle, why can’t change my pattern in choosing a good partner too?

My fav music genres : Grunge, Rock, Metal (I also listen to some rap and pop songs time to time)

Political & Religious views : I'm not much into politics but if I have to say it would be somewhat left aligned, Atheist (although I believe religion is necessary for some people...I've this huge philosophical reasoning about existence of religion 😅)
I'm currently a physics graduate and preparing for masters in CS besides that I'm a science & maths teacher ... I wanna be a Data Scientist later on...
