The zombie apocalypse happened, humanity is doomed, and everyone is dead… not that dramatic really. In reality, there was a zombie virus yes, but it didn’t spread outside the island it came from due to the virus when outside the human body easily gets dissolved in water such as rain or ocean water. It can also only spread from human to human via body fluids of any kind. However, the island itself locked itself down as the virus spread and those infected began to fear the water until it fully changed. Fully changed they can go out in the rain but not swim. And the governments put the whole island on lockdown, nothing gets in, and none comes out save for a single barge that comes once a month with supplies for the survivors. Still, this was 6 years ago and humans can adapt even to those conditions, the survivors managed to rebuild a life on the island despite the zombies being there and living relatively normally. Kids born on the island learn how to avoid zombies and every house have an alarm system for them. Live life as normal. Minus one catch, some humans seem to be somewhat immune to the virus. Those humans are called the halfbies, half human-half zombie. Some only have parts of their bodies looking undead while others got fully changed on the outside but the human brain remained, trapped in the body of a monster. And normal humans do not trust these halfbies at all.
My idea is to play a human and a halfbie becoming friends and learning from one another on this island while also avoiding the hordes that still roam. And thanks to tourism new bodies tend to come to the thrill seekers or criminals that get sent there.

Hello guys I wanted to thank you all for ur great work and tell you all about my little journey to 699 Rune Arcs.
It all started back in September, when i had long forgotten about Elden Ring. I saw the EldenRingPvp subreddit and i got hooked up on the Pvp part of the game, a bit later i found the BRM sub.
I was faszinated by you guys and ur afford to win against shitters, ganks and overleveled Phantoms.
So i started to play Eldenring again, and let me tell you, I was so bad at Pvp, it was sad.
I was playing in the 125 bracket, the worst place to start as a beginner.
So I had the fantastic idea to start a new character and stay on the low level to learn about pvp, but man this was a bad idea.
My RL 30 3/1 character found himself in such a terrible place, everywhere there where only overleveled phantoms that would one shot you, Runearced bonfire Duelist and ganks by weird Guts guys and Mages. It started to get better with each Pvp patch, but the beginning was really hard.
But I still keept going and started to improve myself. I finally started to get better, stopped to panicroll doing some crazy backstep attacks and landed some parrys.
At the beginning I was always in panic, but now I feel like nothing will ever being able to let me lose my cool head, because of the crazy gank situations where you where avoiding all kinds of spells and incants while hardswapping to a different weapon.
Also it was quite a fun and hard journey as an RL30 to work my way up to the Giants Mountain, to find some new weapons or other stuff to try for my invasions. also respect for the RL1 Bros, you guys are cool.
Over the course of a few months I finally did it and got all the Rune Arcs, this wasn’t my goal when I started this little Character, but it felt so amazing to see myself getting better every invasion, so I decided to keep going till the stash was full and yesterday around midnight it happend, I completed my journey. I learned a lot from the BRM videos here, I took every tip and trick I could learn from you guys.
I will now stop the invasions and finally let this character rest, maybe he will be back when the dlc comes. Meanwhile I will continue to enjoy your invasions and lurk in this Subreddit.
I just wanted to thank you guys, keep up the good work and never let them corrupt your mind with their bad attitude. So take a sip from your Crimson Flask and never give up Kings and Queens of the Bad Red Man realm.

Feeling a little defeated today. I was offered a job at a great Aba company, but had to change my hours we originally agreed upon. I was told changing my hours would not affect my employment. ( for context, I’m a Masters student with a summer semester, and just got assigned my summer classes). There was one day I wanted to change since I was assigned a class that day. I didn’t change my hours fully, just requested to work a different day form the 4 days they assigned to me. They ended up revoking the opportunity until I can get a better availability. I know it’s my fault here, just feeling defeated. I had no idea my classes would interfere. It’s my dream to work and help individuals on the spectrum, so this hurts a little. I’m unsure how to move forward, I was so ready. I feel like they thought I was taking advantage of them by changing my hours to my liking once I secured a job, but that wasn’t the case. I know this came off to them as inconsistent, but it just doesn’t feel very good to be in this position. They said I can apply again with new availability, but idk if they’re just saying that. I don’t know how ABA companies typically work. I’m still interested in the company, and can work with different availabilities, I’m just unsure if they would hire me again after this.

• UC Essays (7/10): Truth be told I wrote my UC essays on the same day with no one but my friends proofreading them.
• Common App Essay (9/10): My Common App essay on the other hand was proofread by my counselor and a LOT of my relatives. I spent relatively 8-10 hours in total perfecting it. Briefly hooked the reader by mentioning my wide family lineage (grandpa had 132 kids, I’m a child from a polygamous family). I intertwined this fact with the bullying I received in middle school and high school due to my background and my good grades. Ended up with the success story of creating a zero-tolerance bullying policy in my school, IG page against social anxiety, and being willing to help anyone that comes my way.
• Supplemental essays (8.5/10): I think that on average I was very creative with my responses and always found a way to incorporate a new/different aspect of my character in each essay.

• I would recommend using Collegevine to review your essays. You will find some really cool and nice people that will give accurate feedback rather than paying thousands of dollars to experts and maybe end up rejected.
• These admissions taught me that college admissions also include luck because what where the odds of me getting such finaid and acceptances when I did most of my college apps alone and depressed after my Harvard deferral? Anyways best of luck to the class of 2028.
• The journey will be excruciating and demanding but please have an appropriate amount of safeties, targets, and reaches to finish this journey with at least one uni.
• My SAT score wasn’t that great but I still managed to land 2 ivies (and a likely) so I would really emphasize on being well-rounded and having a pertaining story. Your application needs to have a theme and paint a clear image of who you are as a person.

When I go clubbing or go out to meet women I feel like I come across as very eager or thirsty. I don’t know what to do about that. I haven’t been touched by a woman in years. I think I actually am thirsty because of that and I can’t hide that I’m excited to want to get close to a woman. It keeps me up late at night sometimes.
I just wish that I wasn’t so awkward and thirsty. It’s like guys who are successful with women just get more successful because they get sex and romance so they’re not thirsty for it. Guys like me are literally shaking trying to talk to girls because I have no idea of this girl will finally be the one to change my life. I know that sounds desperate but I am.

I’ve been reading up on how orphaning works, and I have a question:
Say a user posts a fic, then later orphans it. A few years pass, and the user has a change of heart, regrets orphaning the fic, and wants to reclaim it. Problem: Orphaning is “permanent and irreversible”, and even AO3 itself can’t (or won’t) relink it to the user’s account.
The user has an idea: They can just repost the entire fic on their account. After all, it’s not plagiarism, it’s their own fic. (Maybe they even have a way to prove their ownership, such as with timestamped original documents, or an archived copy of the fic on the Wayback Machine that shows their name on it from before it was orphaned, etc.)
Would that be allowed? Or would it break AO3’s ToS somehow, even if that user can prove they’re the original owner of the orphaned fic?
(Just to be clear, this isn’t about me; I’ve never posted on AO3, much less orphaned anything. It’s just a scenario I thought up. I’m also aware that the question has been asked before, but whilst some replies commented on whether the author should, I didn’t see any conclusive replies about whether it’s allowed. I’m just curious if there’s any explicit rule allowing or prohibiting reposting a fic that already exists on the site, albeit orphaned.)

I’m seriously considering a career change in the next few years. I’m just done with doing what I’ve been doing. I have about 2 years left working abroad, before I return to SA, and I’m looking at options for making money.
One of those ideas is to start a business selling goods, but I’ve never done a business course so I don’t know anything about registering a business, manufacturing, taxes, economies of scale etc.
Has anyone here every successfully maintained an online business in SA? If so, do you recommend others (me) get into it? And is it profitable enough to be a main source of income?

In The New Human Revolution, vol. 30, Sensei relates how, on a trip to Bulgaria, he asked some children to join him in planting a tree, and asked each of them what they wanted to be when they grew up. He concludes: “No matter how turbulent the times, as long as children have dreams there is hope for the future.” (p. 357)
Ikeda Sensei has written a number of books for children, as well as books for parents. I recall also he once wrote a poem with the line “There is no place in our world for bloodstained children” (I think the poem was called “A Prayer for Peace” or something like that – can’t find it at the moment, but that line really moved me)..
When my kids were in what is now called The Future Division, we helped out with their activities. While every meeting started with chanting and maybe a partial recitation of the sutra, we were always cognizant that the main thing for the children was that they enjoy each other’s company and develop friendships with each other. Sometimes that meant art project, sometimes talking together, sometimes playing games or learning a song. Whatever we did, it was after talking to children and including them in the decisions.
And it turned out just as we were told it was supposed to. Those children are now good friends as adults, confiding in each other, encouraging each other, hanging out and enjoying each other.
Sure, some kids from time to time don’t want to be there. Sure, some parents have ideas for other kinds of activities.
But we look around the world and see wars caused by greed or foolishness, divisiveness caused by anger, anger mistrust and resentment of those not just like us. At the same time we all say children are our greatest treasure. But who is trying to escape the cycle that sends children into lives that lead to more of the same? Who is teaching children to live lives that transcend selfishness and greed? Obviously todays children are tomorrow’s leaders in every field of human endeavor – so who is equipping those future leaders with a humanistic outlook that respects the dignity of all humanity?
“As long as children have dreams there is hope for the future.” It’s the SGI that is nurturing the wisdom, courage and compassion inherent in the life of each child. Maybe not yet perfectly, but with the recognition that, if there is ever going to be world peace, it’s going tom be achieved by those who start life as children, when dreams - and hope to fulfill those dreams - begin.

I messed up my credit pretty bad when I was 18, so I watch it religiously now that it’s recovering.
I have 29k left in student loans through AES. I applied for Biden’s loan forgiveness program which would have made me eligible for 20k forgiveness as a Pell Grant recipient. I was approved but delayed due to the lawsuit in TX.
I noticed this month that 6 new student loans have been added to my credit report from US DEPT OF EDUCATION totaling $21,859. These loans have a creation date of Dec 2017, over a year after I finished school and a term of 0 and a minimum payment of $0. It says they have had 100% payments made on time and have been paid for 4 months.
I’m really confused as to where these came from, as they are not loans that I took out. They weren’t on my report as of February but are showing for March.
They are showing on my TransUnion and Equifax reports. Any idea what this could be? Could it have to do with the loan forgiveness program finally going through?

I just bought this Citizen, please tell me what you think about it!?
Also, I don’t know what is it worth so… If you have an idea?
