Letters of Recommendation
I waived my rights via FERPA so I’m just guessing here.
English Teacher (7/10): Had her for both junior and senior year, had a pretty good relationship with her in class and always did my work- nothing extraordinary. She's a good writer though, so I trust her letter!
Bio Teacher (6/10): TBH only really chose her because I thought you needed one STEM and one humanities rec for every school. She definitely saw my academic side (I pestered her a lot about my Bio IA...) but beyond that I'm not sure...
Counselor (7/10): Didn't really know counselor too well, but I filled out her worksheet pretty thoroughly. She also asked for some of my other teachers to give her insight, so I had my IB Music and my orchestra director give her more info about me from a different point of view. She has lots of experience writing letters so I'm sure she was able to put together a good letter from all of the info she got from me and other teachers.
Interviews
Georgetown (6/10): my first interview, it was in-person and in the interviewer's office. Needless to say, I was terrified and spent 5 minutes in my parent's car just doing last-minute rehearsing before actually getting out. It went OK- it was decent for a first interview, but I think I rambled a bit too much about my academic self and didn't really get into my personality/hobbies and what really made me, me. Interviewer's interests didn't really line up with mine beyond academics so thats what we naturally focused about. It was a solid hour, but very chill in the end (I shouldn't have been that stressed lol).
Princeton (7/10): Was much more prepared for this interview. It was virtual, and lasted like 40 minutes. She asked me a few questions- I think I was definitely able to express and articulate myself a lot better compared to my Georgetown one, but I'm afraid I was thrown a bit off guard about the "Why Princeton/major" question she asked me and so my answer for that wasn't as perfect. Otherwise, I spent the last like 10-15 minutes asking her about Princeton stuff. It was a standard interview.
Columbia/Sciences Po Dual Degree Program (9/10): this interview was definitely my best interview by far because I was hella stressed for it, so I researched as much as I could about it- I really demonstrated my interest in Asian politics through specific examples, and I was well-articulated about why I wanted to attend not one, but two prestigious schools in the span of 4 years (and like, why France specifically). The Sciences Po admissions officer was having some connectivity issues but besides that it was a very solid interview.
Franklin and Marshall (9/10): It was with a current, international student, and we basically bonded over wanting new experiences in college and like this idea of college in general. He said that I was one of his favorite interviewees so that was nice?? Got to ask him a lot about the school and I was very passionate in my answers, much more chill than Georgetown/Princeton ones (tbh those top-schools kinda psyched me out...)
Wesleyan (7/10): I can't really remember what went down in this one tbh. At this point senioritis was kicking in and everything was mostly a blur LMFAO.
Essays
My CommonApp essay was... probably not the best. Topic was kind of basic, and the writing was meh. Unfortunately, I didn't really have time to edit it, because I got super busy with MUN things in the fall + senioritis hit early... so I really tried to perfect my supps. It was still a solid essay overall and I liked it, but I wish I started brainstorming about it earlier so I could've found a more niche idea/used some of the ideas I had in my supps for this main essay. Definitely should've done my dream school applications (ie, Georgetown) last instead of first since I naturally got so much better over time. Don't underestimate how your writing ability can skyrocket in the span of 5 months!!
Decisions (indicate ED/EA/REA/SCEA/RD)
Acceptances:
Waitlists:
Rejections:
Additional Information:
This whole journey has definitely been a process. I came into the college app process thinking I had a solid chance at schools like Georgetown, Boston U, and Northeastern, with UPenn as a hard reach. I ended up not even applying to UPenn and getting rejected from Georgetown, BU, and NEU, but got some amazing acceptances that came really out of the blue (still reeling over WashU.... like I applied on a whim???).
I do really regret applying to all of the OOS public schools that I did- especially the UCs- since I can't afford OOS tuition, but I think overall my list was rather balanced. Seeing all of those reaches reject me stung (Georgetown sent me on an emotional rollercoaster and my heart dropped when I found out that BU had a 10% acceptance rate this year) but all it takes is one reach for there to be success! I'm most likely going to end up committing to Columbia/Science Po (top school in France AND in US??? Hell yeah!), but all in all I'm so glad that this process is finally over <3 going to take a long fucking nap.

We open on a Hollywood-themed casino.
Narrator: Welcome to the biggest event in all of CPWA.
The doors swing open and we see slot machines with the names and faces of various CPWA talents, including "The Number One Pick" LeJuan Jones, The Jordans (Shelton, Elijah, Deron "Ron", and Cedric), Keith Yang, and Kaine Harris.
Narrator: Where everything is more than on the line.
We then see a poker table where King Shaka, Ivan Markov, Jordan Angle, Logan Lemming, and "The King of Mexican Strong Style" Antonio Garcia are sitting and playing cards.
Narrator: Where having an ace up your sleeve can change the difference between victory and defeat.
We then see the Hart Sisters (Crystal and Tracy), The Olympians (Clarissa Yang and Regina Lewis), Mary Addams, "The Orange Idol Princess" Aiko Yoshida, Cristina Moreira, and Queen Sheba all placing bets.
Narrator: Where lady luck can is a fighting dame.
We then see every superstar at a roulette table as we see someone blowing dice in their hands as they shake and throw them at the table.
Narrator: Roll the dice, always bet on black, and remember that the stakes are more than high! This is High stakes!
De La Soul's "Stakes is High" plays in the arena as pyro we see pyro go off for a few seconds, followed by cheering from the crowd.
Brian Kinsley: We welcome to CPWA High$takes! We are coming to you live from Los Angeles. Brian Kinsley along with Anthony Harris and Sir Samuel Stewart, we have finally arrived for the big one! Every championship is on the line including the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship as Kaine Harris defends the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship against Shelton Jordan, Keith Yang, and "The Number One Pick" LeJuan Jones! Let's get right to the action!
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for...
Crowd: ONE FALL!
Announcer: And it is for the CPWA Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship!
Men at Work's "Down Under" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Introducing first, the team of Remy LaCroix and Wade Parker, the Quebec Outback Connection.
Franz Ferdinand's "Take Me Out" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Next, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, they are Steve and Adam, the Odenkirks.
80s Synth Track Nightscapes plays in the arena.
Announcer: Finally, from Los Angeles, they are the CPWA Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions, the team of Mark Starr and Ricky Vice, StarrVice!

Match 1: CPWA Cruiserweight Tag Team Championship: The Quebec Outback Connection (Remy LaCroix and Wade Parker) vs. The Odenkirks (Steve and Adam) vs. StarrVice (c) (Mark Starr and Ricky Vice)
The opener wasn't bad but it certainly wasn't good either. Aside from the huge pop StarrVice got, they didn't get any offense going. The Odenkirks were decimating their opponents and were looking to secure the victory quickly, but the QOC prevented that from happening. StarrVice rallied themselves back into the match, which saw Ricky Vice pull off a diving plancha onto Remy LaCroix and the Odenkirks. This allowed Mark Starr to hit the Starlight Driver on Wade Parker for StarrVice to retain the CPWA Cruiserweight Tag Team Championships.
2 out of 5 stars.
After the match, StarrVice celebrated with the crowd.
We cut backstage as we see Kevin Meyers interviewing "The Number One Pick" LeJuan Jones and Brother Julius. LeJuan says that he will regain the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship and prove to everyone that he is "The Chosen One" and remain on top of the CPWA.
We cut back to the arena.
Announcer: The following contest is a fatal-four Cruiserweight showcase!
Almighty 3's "To The Other MC's" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Introducing first, from Opa-Locka, Florida, he is Money Mark!
Punjabi MC's "Sounds of the Des" plays in the arena
Announcer: Next, from Mumbai, India, Sharnaz Khan.
Tego Calderon's "Mil Cosas" plays in the arena
Announcer: Next, from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Angel Vega
Less Than Jake's "P.S. Shock The World" plays in the background.
Announcer: And the final participant, from New Orleans, Louisiana, Jason Reynolds.

Match 2: Fatal Four-Way Cruiserweight Showcase: Money Mark vs. Sharnaz Khan vs. Angel Vega vs. Jason Reynolds
There's a good reason why the cruiserweights always put on a great show and this was no exception. Angel Vega started the match hot, followed by some high-flying attacks on Money Mark and Sharnaz Khan. There was a scary moment in the match where Jason Reynolds almost knocked himself out when he missed a shooting star press on Khan. Despite the scare, Reynolds managed to fight his way back into the match. Angel Vega would win the match Angel's Wings (Wing Clipper) on Sharnaz Khan to get the win.
FIVE STARS!!!!!
We cut to a music video hyping up the Hart Sisters, Crystal and Tracy.
We cut back to the arena.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the CPWA Women's Tag Team Championship.
Leo Arnaud's "Bulger's Dream" plays in the arena
Announcer: Introducing first, representing The Olympians, they are the team of Clarissa Yang and Regina Lewis
"Hitman" plays in the arena
Announcer: And their opponents, from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, they are the CPWA Women's Tag Team Champions, Crystal and Tracy, the Hart Sisters.
Match 3: CPWA Women's Tag Team Championship: The Olympians (Clarissa Yang and Regina Lewis) vs. The Hart Sisters (Crystal and Tracy)
It was a technical showcase between two teams with lots of grappling, takedowns, and submissions. The Olympians had control of the match, isolating Tracy from Crystal. Every time Crystal got the tag, the referee never saw it, forcing Crystal back to her corner. Eventually, Crystal would get the hot tag, as she was a house of fire, taking down both Clarissa Yang and Regina Lewis. Crystal placed the sharpshooter on Lewis to make her tap out as the Hart Sisters regained the CPWA Women's Tag Team Championship.
2 out of 5 stars.
We are then shown a hype package that covers the rivalry between "The King of Mexican Strong Style" Antonio Garcia and Logan Lemming.
We cut back to the arena.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall with a 25-minute time limit.
Vincente Fernandez's "Los Mandados" plays in the arena as a Mariachi band plays and leads "The King of Mexican Strong Style.
Announcer: Introducing first, from Mexico City, Mexico, he is "The King of Mexican Strong Style," Antonio Garcia.
Motley Crue's "Shout At The Devil" plays in the arena as a rock band plays the tune.
Announcer: Introducing first, the challenger, accompanied to the ring by Monroe Storm, from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, he is Logan Lemming.
Match 4: "The King of Mexican Strong Style" Antonio Garcia vs. Logan Lemming
Aside from the huge pop that "The King of Mexican Strong Style" received, this match felt completely flat. As much as there were hard-hitting attacks from both men, only a half of the crowd was into this match. Thankfully, the match ended with Antonio Garcia placing Logan in a Surfboard Press to win.
1 out of 5 stars.
We cut to backstage and we see Kimberly Reynolds interviewing Shelton Jordan. Shelton believes that this will be the night that not only will he win the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship, but Deron "Ron" Jordan will become the next CPWA International Champion.
We cut back to the arena.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the CPWA Hardcore Championship.
Yoshida Brothers' "Storm" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Introducing first, from Kagoshima, Japan, he is the CPWA Hardcore Champion Kenshiro Ishii.
Kenshiro Ishii stands in the ring awaiting his opponent. Suddenly, the lights go out and we hear an ominous female voice.
Female voice: Pretty Boy...oh, my sweet sweet Pretty Boy...the time has come. Punish...them...all!
Glitter Wasteland's "Cold War (Nightcrawler Remix)" plays in the arena as the lights come back on with a bluish and red color as Pretty Boy makes his debut.
https://preview.redd.it/g24bblrdl6ra1.png?width=1364&format=png&auto=webp&s=e5f9ebeec084738f52f1e37960963a64061de3d1
Brian Kinsley: My god! He's here! It's...Pretty Boy!
Anthony Harris: Look at the bloodstains on the brother's suit! Who or what did he kill before he got here?
Sir Samuel Stewart: Whoever was going to face Kenshiro Ishii for the Hardcore Championship. I'm going to have nightmares of this guy.
Match 5: CPWA Hardcore Championship: Kenshiro Ishii (c) vs. Pretty Boy
The highly-anticipated debut of Pretty Boy lived up to the hype, but as for the match itself, Kenshiro threw everything at him, but Pretty Boy wasn't budging. Even throwing weapons in the ring couldn't slow down Pretty Boy. A simple chokeslam and tombstone pile driver was all it took to put away Kenshiro Ishii as Pretty Boy would win the CPWA Hardcore Championship.
3 out of 5 stars.
We cut to a hype package covering the rivalry between "The Orange Idol Princess" Aiko Yoshida and "The Iron Maiden" Mary Addams
We cut back to the arena.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the CPWA Women's International Championship.
Kyary Pamyu Pamyu's "PONPONPON" plays in the arena as the crowd claps along to the beat and chants her name.
Announcer: Introducing first, from Yokohama, Japan, she is "The Orange Idol Princess" Aiko Yoshida.
Iron Maiden's "The Prisoner" plays in the arena as "The Iron Maiden" Mary Addams emerged from an actual Iron Maiden, which emerges from the stage, as part of her entrance.
Announcer: Introducing first, from Boston, Massachusetts, she is the CPWA Women's International Champion "The Iron Maiden" Mary Addams.
Match 6: CPWA Women's International Championship: "The Orange Idol Princess" Aiko Yoshida vs. "The Iron Maiden" Mary Addams (c)
To sum up this match in one word wouldn't be enough. Brutal, hard-hitting, smash-mouth, whatever you want to call it, it was not pretty as Mary Addams had her way with Aiko Yoshida. Addams made the mistake of toying with Yoshida, which prompted a spirited comeback. It looked like Yoshida was going to win the match, but it wasn't meant to be as Mary Addams placed Yoshida in the Iron Maiden to retain the CPWA Women's International Championship.
3 out of 5 stars.
After the match, Shiori Yoshimura entered the ring to confront Mary Addams, perhaps signaling herself as the next challenger for the CPWA Women's International Championship.
We cut to a hype package for King Shaka.
We cut back to the arena.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall with a 25-minute time limit.
Aloe Blacc's "A King is Born" plays in the arena as King Shaka is carried on a throne as part of his entrance.
Announcer: Introducing first, from Johannesburg, South Africa, he is King Shaka
Red Army Choir's "The Artilleryman's Song" plays in the arena. Ivan Markov is accompanied to the ring by "Russian Soldiers".
Announcer: And his opponent, from St. Petersburg, Russia, Ivan Markov.

Match 7: King Shaka vs. Ivan Markov
This was quite the star-making match as Ivan Markov continues to find momentum within his time in CPWA. It was a back-and-forth match that saw both men giving it their all. In the end, it would be a Markov Recliner (The Accolade/Steiner Recliner) that would put away King Shaka in a shocking victory.
4 out of 5 stars.
***Intermission***
We cut back from intermission and we return back to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is a triple-threat match for the CPWA Television Championship.
Aka-Manto Chase Theme plays in the arena as red lights engulf the arena.
Announcer: Introducing first, from the bowels of Jigoku, he is Aka-Manto.
An organ cover to Runaway Casket plays in the arena as we see a hearse drive down the ramp. Two pallbearers open the backdoor and take out a casket and place it on a cot. The pallbearers open the casket, revealing The Mortician, who enters the ring.
Announcer: Introducing next, from the Resting Peace funeral home, he is the CPWA Television Champion, The Mortician.
Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" (Elliot Loud version) plays in the arena as Mangod makes his way through the crowd, headbutting people at random.
Announcer: And finally, from God knows where, he is the CPWA Television Champion, Mangod!
Match 8: CPWA Television Championship: Aka-Manto vs. The Mortician vs. Mangod (c)
A wild and crazy triple-threat match had to be one of the better highlights of the night. All three competitors at one point or another held the CPWA Television Championship, so they knew what was at stake. Although Aka-Manto and The Mortician started off the match double-teaming Mangod, the wild man himself went on the offensive and never looked back. There was even a spot where Mangod did a Glorious Headbutt from Hell diving spot on both Aka-Manto and The Mortician, who were concealed in the casket. The match ended with another Glorious Headbutt From Hell on Aka-Manto for the win.
4 out of 5 stars.
After the match, Mangod swung the CPWA Television Championship over his head a la Seth Freakin' Rollins before going into the crowd to celebrate.
We cut to backstage and we see Kevin Meyers interviewing Keith Yang. Keith Yang talks about how it will be destiny for him to become CPWA World Heavyweight Champion and that he will make history tonight.
We cut back to the arena.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall with a 25-minute time limit.
Hayabusa's "Fight With Dream" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Introducing first, from Yokohama, Japan, he is Shadow Nagasaki.
Ultimo Dragon's 2nd theme plays in the arena.
Announcer: His tag team partners, introducing first, from Shanghai, China, making his CPWA debut, El Oro De Fenix
JB Rock's Metal cover of the Gladiator theme plays in the arena.
Announcer: Finally, from El Colosseo de Mexico, he is El Gladiador!
Leo Arnaud's "Bulger's Dream" plays in the arena
Announcer: And their opponents, representing The Olympians, the team of Ryan Phelps, Miles Orozco, and Jordan Angle
Match 9: Six-Man Tag Match: Shadow Nagasaki, El Oro De Fenix, and El Gladiador vs. The Olympians (Ryan Phelps, Miles Orozco, and Jordan Angle)
This match had no story or heat to speak of, but the only highlight was seeing Jordan Angle get involved with this big event in some way. Sadly, this doesn't favor The Olympians at all. The highlights of the night saw Shadow Nagasaki, Miles Orozco, and the debuting El Oro De Fenix fly around the ring. The match ended with a Phoenix Splash from El Oro De Fenix.
2 out of 5 stars.
We have a hype package for Cristina Moreira.
We cut back to the arena.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the CPWA Women's Championship.

Estrada de Estrela plays in the arena as samba dancers and a carnival float accompany Cristina Moreira to the ring.
Announcer: Introducing first, from Sao Paulo, Brazil, she is the inaugural Star Empress Tournament winner Cristina Moreira.
Queen Latifah's "Wrath of my Madness" plays in the arena as Queen Sheba is accompanied to the ring by several female guards.
Announcer: And her opponent, originally from Johannesburg, South Africa but now residing in Miami, Florida, she is Queen Sheba.

Match 10: CPWA Women's Championship: Cristina Moreira vs. Queen Sheba (c)
As much as this match was highly anticipated, it really didn't live up to the hype. Both women shook hands, but after that, it was a matter of who could dominate who in the ring. Queen Sheba had the match won, but a Spinning Float Over DDT from Moreira secured her the victory and the CPWA Women's Championship.
1 out of 5 stars.
After the match, Cristina Moreira shook hands with Queen Sheba.
Announcer: The following contest is a six-man ladder match for the CPWA Cruiserweight Championship!
M.O.P.'s "Fly N***a Hill F***a" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Introducing first, from Brooklyn, New York, "The Hi-Fli Kid," Jerome Evans.
The March of Death theme plays in the arena.
Announcer: Next, from Guadalajara, Mexico, this is El Colibri
Blood Brothers' "Replica" plays in the arena
Announcer: Next, representing The Commonwealth, from Adelaide, Australia, he is Kelly Lawton
Mysterious music plays in the arena.
Announcer: Next, from Guadalajara, Mexico, this is Silver Eyes.
Rain's "It's Raining" begins to play in the arena
Announcer: Next, from Seoul, South Korea, he is "The Korean Idol" Han Sang-Hoon!
DJ Mercer's "Alright" plays in the arena.
Announcer: And finally, from Tokyo, Japan, he is the CPWA Cruiserweight Champion, MAGNUM Koyama.
Match 11: Six-Man Ladder Match for the CPWA Cruiserweight Championship: "The Hi-Fli Kid" Jerome Evans vs. El Colibri vs. Kelly Lawton vs. Silver Eyes vs. "The Korean Idol" Han Sang-Hoon vs. MAGNUM Koyama
Another match that was highly anticipated and didn't let up on the crazy moments. Right away Kelly Lawton seized the opportunity to climb up the ladder and looked to take the belt for himself, only to be stopped by the rest of the competitors. Jerome Evans, El Colibri, and Silver Eyes each dived off the ladder, performing crazy high-flying attacks. MAGNUM Koyama appeared to be poised to retain the Cruiserweight Championship, only for Han-Sang Hoon to knock him off. This led to a very opportunistic Kelly Lawton to climb the ladder and claiming the CPWA Cruiserweight Championship for himself.
4 out of 5 stars.
We cut to an undisclosed and dark area somewhere in the arena as we see Kaine Harris talk about retaining the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship and building a legacy of his own.
We cut back to the arena.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the CPWA International Championship.
Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth's "The Creator" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Introducing first, from Miami, Florida, he is Deron "Ron" Jordan.
Blue Blood plays in the arena.
Announcer: And his opponent, representing The Commonwealth, he is the CPWA International Champion, Lord Phillip Byron IV.
Match 12: CPWA International Championship: Deron "Ron" Jordan vs. Lord Phillip Byron IV
This match was a back-and-forth affair between two competitors with different styles. The high-flying, striking, and technical Deron "Ron" Jordan took on the technically refined powerhouse in Lord Phillip Byron IV. Lord Phillip Byron IV had the match won with the Octopus Stretch, but Elijah Jordan interfered and distracted the referee. This allowed Ron to counter the hold and hit the Mad Ride (Cross Rhodes), followed by the solar eclipse to get the win and become the new CPWA International Champion.
2 out of 5 stars.
We see a hype package between the Odenkirks, the Newton Boys, and the Yoshimuras.
We cut back to the arena.
Announcer: The following contest is a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs triple-threat match for the CPWA Tag Team Championship.
Franz Ferdinand's "Take Me Out" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Introducing first, from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, they are William and Jake, the Odenkirks!
Blake Shelton's "Good Ole Boys" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Next, from the great state of Tennessee, Roy and Zechariah, the Newton Boys.
GACKT's "Redemption" plays in the arena
Announcer: Finally, from Osaka, Japan, they are the CPWA Tag Team Champions, Ryota and Daigo, the Yoshimuras.
Match 13: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs triple-threat match for the CPWA Tag Team Championship: The Odenkirks (William and Jake) vs. The Newton Boys (Roy and Zechariah) vs. Ryota and Daigo Yoshimura (c)
Much like the ladder match with the cruiserweights, the tables, ladders, and chairs match was also thrilling. The Odenkirks and The Newtons continued their feud, but the Yoshimuras weren't going to b ignored for long. From brutal chair shots to broken tables, and even a diving ladder spot from Jake Odenkirk, this match was entertaining. The Yoshimuras retained their belts.
4 out of 5 stars.
We receive confirmation that next year's High$takes will take place in Philadelphia.
We get a hype package with Shelton Jordan, Keith Yang, "The Number One Pick" LeJuan Jones, and Kaine Harris.
We cut back to the arena.
Announcer: The following contest is a fatal four-way scheduled for...
Crowd: ONE FALL!
Announcer: And it is for the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship!
Buckshot, Skyzoo, Promise, and Sean Price's "I'm Better Than You" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Brother Julius, from Columbus, Ohio, he is "The Number One Pick," LeJuan Jones.
The Roots' "Do You Want More" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Next, introducing first, representing The Jordan family, from Miami, Florida, he is Shelton Jordan.
Bambu's "Chairman Mao" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Next, from Shanghai, China, he is Keith Yang.

Yonosuke Kitamura's "Lunatic" plays in the arena.
Announcer: Finally, accompanied to the ring by his angel, Jessica, from Oakland, California, he is the CPWA World Heavyweight Champion Kaine Harris.
Main Event: CPWA World Heavyweight Championship: "The Number One Pick" LeJuan Jones vs. Shelton Jordan vs. Keith Yang vs. Kaine Harris (c)
The main event saw all four competitors battle each other for the world title. Right away, Lejuan Jones was easily discarded, along with Kaine Harris. However, "The Number One Pick" would have a few near falls of his own. Not to be outdone Keith Yang rallied back into the match and looked like he was going to secure the victory, but it was not meant to be as Shelton Jordan would hit the exploder suplex on LeJuan Jones for the three count and to become the new CPWA World Heavyweight Champion.
3 out of 5 stars.
Confetti falls from the sky and pyro goes off as Shelton is crowned the new CPWA World Heavyweight Champion. Elijah, Deron "Ron", and Cedric all enter the ring to celebrate with him as High$takes fades to black.

Letters of Recommendation
Research Mentor: "To simply put, [REDACTED] is extraordinary. He is a born leader. The best student and scholar I’ve interacted with over the past two decades of my academic training and research career."
APES & Pre-AP Chem Teacher: "His singular ability to lead those around him through compassion and overcoming so many obstacles in his life has truly defined him as the best student that I have had the pleasure of teaching."
AP Bio Teacher: I genuinely don't know. I've known her for a while and I serve as a TA for her class and have spend hours and hours before and after school, but I genuinely don't know-- could be okay or good.
Counselor: I've met her like twice lol probably generic and just a copy and paste of my resume lol
Interviews
Harvard: He was a really cool former teacher who I think thought I was interesting. Our interview was a couple of hours and it was really great, BUT I didn't talk much about my ECs, really just talked about my goals and perspectives rather than my accomplishments
Princeton: He was a cool guy. We talked for a couple of hours. He seemed really, really impressed by my UN work and seemed to like me.
Yale: Cool guy. Seemed to really like me and talked about how he saw himself in me as a fellow POC. Talked for a couple of hours.
MIT: Cool guy. Really impressive. I think he thought I was great, just not a great applicant to MIT. Asked me a physics question which I got wrong. Talked for a couple of hours.
Georgetown: My interviewer was like hella impressive. Former lawyer. We connected well. He thought I would be great for GTown. Talked for a couple of hours.
Rice: Terrible. I didn't prepare and didn't have great answers. Interviewer was very STEM (I'm not) and didn't seem too interested in my activities. Cut off interview at 30 mins.
Penn: I thought it was really good lmao. I had a lot of fun and we went way over the schedule time and she thought I would be perfect lmao.
WashU (scholarship interview): Timed interview but I felt great. Interviewers were super sweet; laughed at my jokes and made me feel great :)
Brown (video interview): Low key kinda funny; did like a day in the life where I made pancakes for my brother and had a big interview
Berkeley (special program interview): I was not prepared and it was during school hours so I kinda joined 1-2 mins late. I also kinda just read out my application essay as a response for a couple of questions. They didn't seem impressed.
Emory (scholarship interview 1): I got cut off by the virtual timer each time, but I felt quite prepared I think and I think I had great responses
Emory (scholarship interview 2): Really great group interview; gave some great responses. I thought I was resourceful and the interviewers seemed to like me too :)
Emory (scholarship interview 3): Also a group interview; we created something really great and wonderful. Went out of my comfort zone but created something many thought was great. I also met with 2 of my interviewers before and after and both thought I was very articulate and thought I was insightful during the interview.
Essays
Common App Essay: (11/10) I honestly loved it lol. It was a conflict of "he" vs. "they" and I thought it was great and really showed who I was. It was also really fun and engaging to read and not too long. Everyone I spoke to LOVED it A LOT so I guess that has to mean something lol
Supps: I really liked a lot of mine and put a lot of time into them. Many of them were really funny or really deep and conveyed the duality of my personality. I will say tho, in the application process, I applied to a bunch of schools I wasn't a fan of, and, as a result, my sups were very rushed. How much I cared about the school and spent on the supp really reflected my admissions decision (except for 1)-- see parentheses below for info on this.

2023.04.01 10:00 finalmanthrowaway AITB for how I reacted to a friend sneaking up on me?

I (22M) survived a serial killer, I don't want share more details if I can help it, unfortunately the story wouldn't make sense without it. My mom is a therapist, she and every other family member pity me and insist I need a therapist, no matter what I say they keep nagging and refuse to respect my choice. I've had a great friend group of 5 that see that I am the same guy after everything, nothing changed about me & that I'm. The only coping mechanism I needed was us making stereotypical jokes about it like me being a "Final Man" and some Breaking Bad references about how "I am the one who knocks." Because "He is the danger."
It's meant a lot to me that I can be around them and still be tough? it's been over a year but it still frels like every other person I talk to looks down on me. 6 months ago Chloe (23F) finally started taking her boyfriend Jake (21M) to our hangouts, they've been dating for a while and we all wanted to meet him. Me and him hit it off well and I honestly saw him as a new best friend, he even told me a few weeks ago how he wants to propose to Chloe.
I was honored he asked for my help, I really thought we had a bond and understood each other so it really hurt me when two days ago we all were going to meet up at a Denny's. Me and some others were waiting for the others to arrive since we were early, but then Jake snuck up behind me and put his hands in front of my eyes and said 'And you're dead!'
I screamed and pulled away. I asked him what the hell he was thinking, he said he didn't mean any harm. I reminded him of what happened to me, that he should be more considerate, instead of apologizing he said he thought I was fine with taking jokes. This really angered me, I got in his face and screamed that if he doesn't know the difference between a joke and assault, that he wouldn't be smart enough to survive a serial killer, I called him pathetic and stupid. Everyone looked at us, I couldn't take being there anymore so I got in my car and left. Two of my friends tried to stop me but I told them to get the hell away from me.
Jake & Chloe texted me an apology, two of them texted me that I should apologize as well to end the tension. The others gave me a "Hey I'm here if you need me anything."
If I'm honest, I realize I reacted very strongly but I think my reaction was warranted and I don't want to give him an apology. Seeing as my friend group is torn on this I want to know what strangers think of this. AITB?

2023.04.01 09:55 stoogeslap I left two chunks of parmigianino regianno in my car for 5 or 6 days...

The cheese was 2 broken off chunks my mother had in her fridge for a long time. Smelled fine, tasted fine. She gave them to me. I put them in the trunk (they were packed in a Ziploc bag in a grocery bag with two Ziploc bags of grapes) and forgot about them until tonight.
SoCal has had humid temperatures all week, with a couple days of rain and a day or two of one & off sun and clouds.
The rainy days had highs in the mid-60's & lows in the mid-40's. The warmer days w/ a little sun had highs in the lower 70's & lows in the lower 50's.
There is no mold, but a greasy feeling is all over them. They smell strong, the way the cheese should small (or so I hope...)
Is it safe to eat? What signs should I look for regarding the cheese if it is is spoiled/molded over (there is no white crust that sometimes covers parmesan cheese that's been left out. How can I test it to see if it's safe? Any other telltale signs? Or should I just toss it to be safe. Each one is approximately 2x2x3 inches in size. Not huge, but not a small nub either.

re-post: reequil and lukewarm sunscreens and swiss beauty transluscent powder review

skin type: combination/oily. acne and eczema prone
climate: hot and dry. lots of sun
age: 21
usage timeline: 2 days
current routine(only for face):
am: cetaphil gentle cleanser, eucerin oil control spf 50+, qurez mattifying sunscreen spf50
pm: bioderma atoderm shower oil/garnier micellar water (oil in water type), tazarotene cream 0.1%, emolene+venusia max lotion mixed together, vaseline around the eyes and on the lips.
reviews:
swiss beauty bake it away translucent loose powder:
most sunscreens look rly shiny on my oily skin so i usually pat some powder with a beauty blender on my face to avoid the comments from ppl lol. i’m on the fence w this one tbh. before this i was using the kay beauty one which i really liked.
i bought this bc it’s quite cheap and a lot of powder. it’s not bad it doesn’t leave much of a cast keeps my face shine free for a few hours but it does settle into my eyelid creases and around my mouth. it also has a slight grainy texture i think the particles arent as fine as the kay beauty one i think i’ll try applying with my fingers or a powder puff and applying slightly less and see if behaves any different.
3/5 not decided if i’ll repurchase or not but i will use it until it runs out
ingredients: Talc, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate,Methylparaben ,Propylparaben , CI 77891,CI 77491, CI 77492, CI1940
reequil ultra matte dry touch sunscreen gel:
everyone and their mother on this subreddit loves this sunscreen so i finally decided to try it out when i saw it was 15% off on nykaa. i totally get what the hype is about omg this rly is matte!! usually i apply sunscreen on bare skin after cleansing but with this i do find it’s better w a moisturizer underneath (emolene).
the texture is very nice and spreadable but bc of the amount of oil absorbing particles in it it leaves like a slight cast almost like i’ve applied powder and not blended it out fully. it goes away after fifteen ish mins and it’s only really visible to me my family didn’t really notice anything off so i’m calling it a win. only con is it pilled a bit on reapplication.
5/5 wrp
ingredients: Cyclopentasiloxane and Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Caprylyl Methicone and PEG-10 Dimethicone/ PPG-20 Crosspolymer, Octinoxate, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate, Diethylhexyl Butamido Triazone, Caprylyl Methicone, Zinc Oxide, Titanium Dioxide, Bis Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Caprylic Capric Triglyceride, Physalis Angulata Extract, Diethylhexyl Syringylidenemalonate, Fragrance
lukewarm sunscreen:
id seen ads for this sunscreen for a while and wasn’t sure about it since it’s not a very well known brand but i’m glad i tried it. i ended up buying it bc i was curious about it. it’s a similar price point to reequil blue for a 100 ml tube and id never tried a sunscreen with tinosorb m.
it has both mineral and organic filters and surprisingly no whitecast so i assume the mineral filters are minimal compared to the chemical ones. good protection super easy to spread really moisturizing and not very shiny. smells faintly like carrots. not matte like the reequil one but it’s acceptable imo pretty natural finish. no pilling. cons are it takes like five to ten mins to dry down fully and they haven’t posted any kind of lab testing results (independent or not) to confirm the spf and pa value so i think i will only use this when i am indoors or going outside late afternoon/evening after 5 pm when the uv index isn’t that high. but i might give it a chance during the afternoons and see if it works or not. i’m also thinking of using it as a moisturizer underneath the reequil blue one.
4/5 wrp
ingredients: Tinosorb® M, Stearic Acid, Carrot Seed Extract, Raspberry Seed Extract, Cyclopentasiloxane, Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, Cetyl Alcohol, Octyl Methoxycinnamate, Triethanolamine Acetate, Carboxymethylcellulose, DMDM Hydantoin, Emulsifying Wax, Acrylate Cross Polymer C10-30, Methylparaben Sodium, Propylparaben Sodium, Glycerine, Demineralised Water, Fragrance & Permitted Colour
none of these appeared to irritate my acne or eczema( i usually know by the first one or two usages if a product worked for me or not). i was too lazy to patch test so i didnt do it but pls patch test before using new things dont be like me lol i was impatient.
thanks for reading!!

2023.04.01 08:15 LokiEXo First Event List Help

I'm taking on my first ever local event with a 1k list of Drukhari tomorrow! It's exciting and also terrifying, as 1k is supposed to be more balanced and I'm uncertain about what works well in this size battle as opposed to 2k. Either way, below is my list that I've played recently, I have a couple other options to play with and was hoping to get some feedback or suggestions.
Mostly been playing with Retrieve Battlefield Data, Behind Enemy Lines/Herd the Prey based on match-up, and taking a third based on what I can score off their army (Assassinate, Bring them Down, Take Them Alive!)

  6. Worked at a grocery store as a cashier and bringing in carts in grades 10-12
  7. Link crew/freshman connection leader grades 11-12; introduced new students to the high school and periodically checked in with them
  8. Spanish club treasurer 12th grade-planned and ran meetings learning about culture in Hispanic countries (yes I know I’m treasurer of 3 clubs lol. I probably should’ve had some different leadership roles)

Letters of Recommendation
CS teacher: 8/10-had a great relationship and he loved me, also my soccer coach (didn’t read any of the letters so I’m just making my best guess)
APUSH teacher: 8/10-he also loved me and this year I’ve been stopping in with him a lot bc he’s lent me some of his favorite books to read.
Student council advisor: 6/10-I’m sure he wrote positive things but I’m just not as close with him as my other teachers so I don’t know how much he had to write about me.
School counselor: 5/10-same thing; I’m sure she wrote positive things about me but I barely know her
Interviews
MIT: 7/10- first interview and it seemed like my interviewer liked me, but I was a little nervous and struggled to answer some questions
Princeton: 9/10- it went really well and we had so much to talk about; went well over the time limit and he said I’d be a great fit at Princeton
Essays
Personal Statement: 6/10-wrote about the complexity of the world and the mind-boggling depth and interconnection of everything around me. The concept was really good but I don’t think the final product really conveyed my thought process. Definitely could have done better with this.
Most of my essays were similar to my personal statement where they were fine, but they didn’t stand out. However, I’d give my Princeton and Stanford essays an 8/10 on average. I thought I did really well with those.
Decisions (indicate ED/EA/REA/SCEA/RD)
All acceptances are for cs unless they say otherwise
Acceptances:
Waitlists:
Rejections:
I definitely underestimated the competition in cs. I don’t know if any of these schools are easier to get into for other majors but I’m certainly questioning whether I should’ve applied for some other majors. Still have a few good results but it would’ve been awesome to crack a T20 acceptance. Again, not the results I was hoping for but I can’t complain overall. It could’ve gone a lot worse. I definitely recommend tuning up your essays until they’re perfect for anyone applying in the future. I think my essays were the weakest part of my application. They were fine, but there’s just so many people applying that a good essay isn’t enough.

The CIA keeps sending skinwalkers to me since i went off grid
I worked for the CIA from 1989-2009. 20 years working for corruption bc I thought i was serving my country. I have been off grid for 5 years & skinwalkers are stalking me.
I was stationed in New Mexico from 1994-1998 and tasked with shipping containers via underground tunnels to a luxurious ranch. I sometimes would hear faint crying from these containers but was told to never open them. I came to realize i was shipping containers full of humans to Jeffrey Epstein…. God help me

2023.04.01 07:21 thick_texas_girl Please help. Someone.

I absolutely didn't want to have to do this. Post this. I'm so embarrassed and don't want or need any judgment. But I need help from those that just care about helping a woman and her kids in a really traumatic situation. I have no family alive to help.
I'm almost certain that his behavior is due to another woman. Its the only thing that makes sense to me. With how ugly he is being. Like I absolutely do not deserve this. And neither do the girls. I don't know if it's drug use? I have begged him to not do this and end our marriage and family. Despite it all. If he needs help I want to help. I am just so lost.
My husband who I have 2 beautiful girls by ages 2 & 3 just flipped into like a new person yesterday and said that he wants divorce. And he has refused my suggestion of marriage counseling. I have been a stay at home mom for over 2 years now. As he as I agreed and planned. I'm pretty sure that his sudden switch in character is due to another woman. But now he going above and beyond to bully me and be emotional and psychological abusive. Including controlling. He told me that I can stay in the house with the girls for now because he is trying to be nice about it. And that he will be cutting off the internet and my phone. He knows that I have been in online college for over 2 years and I will be graduating this May of all goes ok. And that I am also applying to jobs for remote work from home positions. So he is trying to prevent this from succeeding. He found out that I have a scheduled job interview for zoom next week and now this. As well as he is trying to cut off my phone service so I can't reach anyone at all. He doesn't care that the kids only ha w streaming to watch their favorite TV shows (and their need some Normalcy during all this as well)
I told him I am not expecting him to carry me for any extended period of time. Just until I can get a job and get some funds available to get my own stuff settled.
But he said he gave me $10 today and that all I'm getting. And he left the house. As he reminded me that I am alone. I'm not from this state and all alone. And my parents are dead. No one to truly help me. And again that I get to stay here for now with the kids because he is trying to be nice about it.
When he left after all that, I was talking quietly on the phone with the one friend I do have and told her that he might give me no other choice but to sell his tools. Not even an hour late he came back with dog food for his dog. And put some tools inside his shed and locked it.
So now I think he has a camera or listening device planted on me in the house .
He doesn't want to give me gas to be able to be the first one to file the divorce. And he may end up doing it online anyway. Which is $139. I have absolutely no money. He has done this on purpose at the time he felt would best destroy my ability to take care of things without so much hardship and emotional abuse.
Literally, I just received my college stipend refund money and had to spend every dime to cover the truck payment, insurance, things the kids needed, his SR-22 form stuff (because he has no DL and is also on probation) and many other things that had to be paid for.
He told me I should have kept my money and if I had I'd be alright right now. But he did this right after he knew I was broke again.
Somebody please help me and my girls with this!!!!

2023.04.01 04:29 sixfootpartysub if your truck was hit on 410W @ bandera around 9pm tonight, I have info on the little white car which was definitely at fault

the info: after they took off at the exit, their car was clearly a lot more fucked up by the incident than your's looked to be, so even though it's a pain I'm sure, I hope you at least get some solace knowing they're much worse off for it lmao
in all seriousness, I don't have a dashcam or anything, but I was square behind y'all and saw the entire thing go down, they are 1000% at fault open & shut. I don't know if I can even do anything to help at this point, but maybe this will help with the insurance companies or w/e:
given the angle, you might not've seen them swerve towards the exit (away from you), then quickly back out of the exit (towards you), then proceed to quickly change lanes again (towards you), all before crossing into your lane and dinging you pretty good there. it was a lot more than a casual, not-paying-attention drifting into a blind spot - if they weren't drunk, they were so distracted and/or panicked by * something * that they had to make several concrete fuck-ups quite quickly one after another to end up hitting you, and then taking off. the entirety of their driver door was torn up (easy to see against the white paint) and if I had to guess at a glance, it was a ~22 ford fiesta. they ended up peeling off at that short summers pkwy exit that's an exit-only lane
given the weird level of elevation difference at that exit, I dunno if any cameras would have caught it, but if at any point an insurance agent or someone try to convince you that you're even partially at fault, please tell them to go to hell. I'm mad as hell on your behalf because that was an egregious hit and run and they aught to see some responsibility for taking off like that
