Hello blender community!
I have been trying to put together a game for a while now. Using the o' rpg maker. Using parallax mapping I ventured into getting commissions for maps made within blender. Issue is my artist seems to have vanished.
So I was wondering where a good place to go (if it isn't already here) that others might know of; especially those already potentially working in a freelance world; to hire blender experts.
Essentially I am looking less for original works (though being able to create original items when needed is a plug), but those who can create the scene.

Basically my previous artist would just use the resources he had to create a map and export it. He would do a little extra since he would crop out the areas you would end up behind as a second layer, but I need someone with an eye for map design.
I have several resource packs from unity for example that would need their models and textures loaded into blender that we could essentially use. I wanted to swap over to a more colorful pallet to match the sprites and have a more cell shaded look (every object with a black outline badically?).
Just I have tried to look it up but couldn't quite find a good place that I could just throw out what I am looking for and find someone capable of working with me to achieve it.
Any advice, shared knowledge and help would be greatly appreciated!

So I've been playing a lot of intense, story-heavy ARPG games lately, and some days you just need to put your brain in neutral and decapitate some zombies. Those are the days I fire up RPCS3 and play some Lollipop Chainsaw.
There is a "story" of sorts, but it ain't going to win any prizes - basically you kill zombies, lots of them, plus some boss zombies where you need to work out their attack sequences. Some of the dialogue is amusing, sometimes it's a bit cringe. They lean into the exploitation genre a bit too much in places for my taste, and believe me, that's a first for me!
As for the gameplay, you can mash buttons if you want, but there are also unlockable combo moves which sometimes come in handy, although I usually forget the combos between play sessions and stick with one or two favourites. You also pick up "upgrades" for your chainsaw along the way, such as one that turns it into a cannon. The level design is fairly basic but has enough variety to keep things interesting.
It's a UE4 game, so it looks great and runs smoothly. I'm playing on fairly modest hardware and it's locked into 60fps without breaking a sweat, not something I can say for other emulated games.
All in all, if you don't expect too much from it and fancy a break from more serious games, it's a fun little diversion. Where else can you go on a chainsaw rampage to Toni Basil's 1981 bubblegum-pop classic "Mickey"?

Intro: Well, I mean it makes sense doesn't it? Yharim is stated multiple times in the lore to have an army, there are even weapons with description specifically state they where used by Yharims footsoldiers.
Begining: The event would kinds be like the Metal Gear Excelcus battle before senator Armstronng, or the Pillars Before the Moon Lord, so it would happen before the proper fight against the Jungle Tyrant himself.
It would occur after the Exo-Mechs and Supreme Calamitas have been defeated. However if the player has also killed Yharon then an extra 1 wave shall occur during the event due to Yharim seeking revenge for the death of his only friend.
Event effects: Because the player is fighting an organied army with tactics and discipline specific types of enemies shall spawn more regulary to combat there specific playstyle. For example Centurions and Dissedents shall spawn more and get bufed if the player is using melee.
Enemies:
-Slave. Humaniod creatures who have been subjergated by Yharim after their city was destroyed, they serve as the bulk of the fighting force. They behave similary to zombies but with slower speed and a massive increase in damage if buffed by a Thrallmaster.
-Thrallmaster. Cruel tyrants weilding flaming whips who attack from afar, dealing fire damage. They gain the ability to summon more Slaves if the player is attacking using Rouge or Ranged. They can also grab Slaves to increase their defense as human shields if the Player is using Magic based attacks.
-Legionary. Armed with a Heavy Lazer Rifle but able to blow themselves up as an act of devotion to their tyrant when in close range, these ferocious warriors will try to dodge the players attacks and will paracute out of an Air Phalanx if it is at low health. Will gain a speed boost if the player is using Melee.
-Jetpack Legionary. Only spawn if the player is making heavy usage of wings to fly above the enemies projectiles. Behaves the same only they dont suicide bomb.
-Centurion. The sergeants and corporals of the Tyrants army, lso armed with a Heavy Lazer Rifle but will switch to Gattling Lazer if Player is using Ranged. They can summon and buff Legionaries as well as create temporary magical shields. Killing them debuffs all sorrounding enemies.
-Privateer. Pirates who serve Yharim as mercinaries after their previous home the Flying Dutchman and their Captain turned traitor, they behave exactly like Centurions only they use the Flak Kraken instead of the the Gattling Lazer and they lack the ability to create magic shields but gain a large damage buff if the player has the Pirate Captain in their base. They have a chance to leave the battle if the player has killed 300 of their allies.
-Dissedents. "Cowards" who turned traitor againt Yharim by rejecting to fight against Brealor and Strasis, seeing them as worthier leaders instead of Yharim. Their punishement was to have their faces and arms cut off and have highly explosive magical bombs tied to their backs which would detonate as they threw themselves at the enemy in an attempt to beg for help. They shall scream before they rush towards the player, dealing colossal damge to them and nearby blocks.
-Land Phalanx. Early prototypes of the Exo Mechs, resembling Metal Gear Rays and behaving like the Santa Tank from vanilla, only they can use the Surge Diver when low on health. However they will instead launch honing missles if the player is using Summoner. Destroying them will cause them to blow up dealing massive to all sorrounding enemies.
-Air Phanlanx. A very weak but fast flying machine resembling a blimp, they will move very slowly and will spawn Terror Drones and drop bombs onto the ground. They can summon Jetpack legionaries if the player is using Summoner and will only spawn in the final wave. Will take extra damage to fire weapons.
-Terror Drone. Automata created to bomb the civilian industrie of Yharims enemies as well as for a failed assasination attempt on Brealor and Statis, they resemble Exo Spheres crossed with Asura. They will fly around the player shooting energy beams at them. They have the chance to turn briefly invisible in the final wave if the player is using any class not Rouge.
-Lihizard Alchemist. Clad in Wulfrum armour, these war criminals where employed by Yhraim touse their ancient knowledge to create the Plaguebearer. When that failed he decided they would be used as terror troops who would gas enemy orphanages and hospitals. They are mini bosses will throw bombs at the player which will inflict the Plague debuff as well as summoning 1 Fleshwrought to fight alongside them. If the player is wearing gear associated Silva they shall reiceve extra damage, for reasons seemingly unknown. Can summon Plague Chargers on Death.
-Fleshwrought. Prototype Ravagers, these monsters resemble Metal Gear Rexes without guns and with a biomechanical asthetic. They will attempt to ram the player. Although usually summoned by the Lihizard Alechemists they can spawn regualry with an additional block-destroying lazer beam attack if the player is staying very clse to the ground/ has nor recieved a lot of damage.

I know we all keep torturing ourselves with regret… but remember this.. before you made the decision of getting a tattoo, you were probably obsessing over getting tattoos because you felt you would look better with them… Even if you never got any tattoos, you would be struggling with the same emotions. Looking at yourself and obsessing about your natural “imperfections “ thinking a tattoo would fix it.
Sure, you wouldn’t have the stress of actually having the tattoo but you would still have the stress of wanting to change something about your body to like it more.
I remember before getting tattoos… I would look at people , even if they had tattoos I would never get, and thinking “man, it just looks so much cooler to have tattoos than not”.
We all know those people in our lives that don’t have the best tattoos, but they’re the coolest people and their energy is what makes their tattoos so admirable.
It’s not always about how cool the tattoo is.. it’s usually about how you carry yourself with the tattoos.
If someone comes up to you and asks about your tattoo and you start going on a depressing rant… people are going to see the negative that you see… but if someone asks about your tattoo and you say “I wanted one at the time, it represents a life lesson for me” , people will not look at all the negative things you see.
Your life is not ruined with your tattoos. Whether you like it or not, if you got your tattoo without meaning and made an impulsive decision , like me 🤣, welp.. your tattoo now has meaning and now serves as a reminder to forgive yourself and that you only know what you know now.
Use this wisdom to help others, I teach fitness and kickboxing for adults and teenagers. My tattoos have helped me spread wisdom to my students, bringing up talking points I wouldn’t have thought of if I didn’t have these tattoos.. it has helped me prevent others from making the same mistakes I have in my life… and knowing that because of my own mistakes , I can help people prevent from making the same mistakes has been so rewarding and I’m now a person that people can feel comfortable going to for their own regrets in their own lives.
Everyone wears their regrets differently. Everyone has regrets and moments of panic and anxiety over their life decisions.. be grateful yours is only a tattoo and use your experience to prevent making any decisions that can add to your regret.
Don’t let your regret turn you into a self isolating person that only thinks about themselves and their own problems. Use your regret to serve others and uplift them.
Life has a funny way of forcing you to see through a lens of what truly matters in life, and that is what the journey of life is all about.

"May 22, 2023 will mark the anniversary of the future free Russian republic. But we won't stop until we get to Moscow," Ilia Ponomarev, a Russian opponent of Vladimir Putin, tells Slate. From Kiev, where he currently lives in exile, this former elected member of the Duma, who opposed the annexation of Crimea in 2014, represents the Freedom Legion of Russia, a unit of Russian fighters incorporated into the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
On Monday, May 22, these anti-Kremlin Russian fighters led an armed incursion into the Belgorod region, which borders Ukraine. As a result, the territory was placed under an "anti-terrorist" regime for 24 hours by Moscow, which finally claimed to have "crushed" the perpetrators of the operation on Tuesday May 23. This was the second ground incursion into Russian territory since the start of the war in Ukraine - on March 2, the villages of Lyubetchané and Souchany, in the Russian oblast of Bryansk, had already been attacked by another formation, the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK).
"It's time for Russian citizens to take back their country"
"Even if we didn't last long, we flew the white-blue-white flag on our land," says Ilia Ponomarev in an interview with Slate, pointing out that the unit is made up of four battalions.
Referring to his exile, the former Russian MP evokes the figure of General de Gaulle, who was able to continue the fight against Nazi Germany from England. "De Gaulle is a source of inspiration. His aim was to defeat Hitler, liberate France and re-establish democracy, which was already present before the Nazi invasion. For me, the goal is to create, in Europe, a Russia that would have a political structure totally different from the one before."
To this end, Ilia Ponomarev participates in the Congress of People's Deputies. "This is a shadow Russian parliament, created by a dozen former deputies, which is designing the future by drafting a new constitution," elaborates the dissident politician. "The plan is to establish a transition period that could last probably two years, during which time this new Constitution would be adopted following free and fair elections."

"It's time for Russian citizens to take back their country. Today, we often hear reproaches that no Russian opposes Putin and his war," declared Anastasiia Sergeeva, secretary of the Civic Council, a political association based in Warsaw (Poland), in a video published in November 2022.
Interviewed by Slate, she describes the Civic Council, made up of twenty permanent members, as "a grassroots initiative of Russian citizens who believe that military resistance is inevitable to topple Putin's regime and end the war in Ukraine".
The Russian Volunteer Corps, a paramilitary unit with a neo-Nazi leader
According to our information, this Civic Council is responsible for recruiting the Russian Volunteer Corps, the armed group that carried out the brief incursion into the Bryansk region last March. Their leader, Denis Kapoustine - also known as Denis Nikitine, or "White Rex"-, known for his membership of the neo-Nazi movement, immortalized the moment on video.
"The incursion into the Belgorod region was carried out by two units: on the one hand, Ilia Ponomarev's legion, and on the other, the Russian Volunteer Corps, a paramilitary unit founded in August 2022, made up of people experienced in combat," notes Adrien Nonjon, a doctoral student at Inalco specializing in the post-Soviet far right and nationalist movements.
On Wednesday May 24, following the operation in western Russia, the two groups held a joint press conference in Ukraine. Denis Kapoustine said he was "satisfied with the result" of the attack, declaring that his troops had held "around 42 square kilometers" of Russian territory. Contacted by Slate, the RDK press service did not respond to our questions.

Since the start of the Russian invasion on February 24, 2022, Poland has played a major role not only in delivering weapons and humanitarian aid to Ukraine, but also in gathering information. A Polish Ministry of Defense source explains: "The Russian Volunteer Corps wants and needs to show that there is an independent Russian force that opposes Putin's regime. Its creator, Denis Kapoustine, lived in Ukraine before February 24, 2022. He was helped by a Pole to create the Russian Volunteer Corps. The Ukrainian Armed Forces give the Russians of the RDK the opportunity to develop and fight for the liberation of Russia."
According to Ilia Ponomarev, the legion is made up of several categories of volunteers: "Russian soldiers who defected, in Kharkiv for example, prisoners of war, but also Russians married to Ukrainian women and Russian political activists who left the country at the start of the war".
Ideological oppositions
In August 2022, the various Russian armed and political groups present in Ukraine sealed an agreement with the Irpin Declaration, named after the town on the outskirts of Kiev that was heavily targeted by Moscow's armies at the start of the war and became a symbol of resistance to the Russian invasion.
"On August 31, 2022, the Russian Volunteer Corps, the Freedom Legion of Russia and the National Republican Army, a partisan group in Russia, jointly signed a declaration enacting a form of implicit alliance in the name of safeguarding Russia. [Their aim is] to remove Vladimir Putin from power and help the Ukrainians recover the territories they have lost in the Donbass and Crimea", explains Adrien Nonjon.

During the Belgorod operation, however, the RDK explained on its Telegram channel that it wanted to mark its opposition to its ad hoc allies: "We adhere to right-wing conservative political views and traditionalist beliefs," it wrote. Any political initiatives from outside organizations are not linked to the RDK's official position."
From the Russia Freedom Legion, Ilia Ponomarev makes a similar observation. "We considered creating a new joint regiment with the RDK, but in the end, because of their very right-wing political views and orientation, they decided they didn't want this coordination agreement, that it would harm them politically."
Growing internal dissent
On May 22, the day of the attack in the Belgorod region, blue-white-blue balloons were released over Moscow, and tags with the letter "L" - standing for "For Freedom"- were seen in Russia. A sign that the two armed groups are not alone in their disapproval of Vladimir Putin's policies.
However, for opposition leader Ilia Ponomarev, it is difficult to count the exact number of resistance fighters in the country: "Based on my statistics, my current estimate is between 1,000 and 1,100 supporters. Three months ago, we were recording an average of one attack a day [attacks on railway signal stations, burning of administrative buildings, etc., editor's note]. Today, the figure is rising. For example, the day before yesterday there were six attacks, and four yesterday."
"We are working on developing the resistance movement to carry out effective operations inside Russia by training professionals in resistance groups," adds Anastasiia Sergeeva of the Civic Council.

I've been all through the sub and made an extensive list of games to look into. It seems, though, like most games are tied to a fantastical theme - dungeons, tombs, kings, laboratories, etc. I'm not remotely into RPG or anything fantastical.
Are there solo games that don't have any theme? I would love solo games along the lines of Mancala, Sequence, etc. Playing cards, dice, scoresheets or gameboards I can shrink to a single page, etc. I did make a list of "solo / solvable in-hand games, also called hand-held / play-in-your-palm / no-table-needed games" that I will be checking out, too, but I'd love something meaty with cards/dice/paper that isn't theme or RPG. I hope I'm making sense. (I do TONS of online games, puzzle books, actual puzzles, card solitaire games, etc. I just need something fresh.) (And apparently, a shock collar for every time I write "etc.")
I'm a graphic designer, so I can create anything visual that I need, for scorekeeping or game progress, etc.________________________________________
For background/reference: I am forced to spend a good bit of time in bed or on the sofa, and when I am better, I generally do minivan camping to have everything that I need medically with me at all times. I'm looking for things to keep busy in bed/in the "camper" minivan, hence the solo play, and desire to recreate them on a smaller scale for myself.
