2023.04.01 13:14 Heliumorchid Disproportionately Asymmetrical Relationships are rarely harmonious and sustainable

Disclaimer - What I'm about to share are my thoughts based on my own experiences from the past. I'm posting here to share my thoughts but also to seek counter-opinions or reflections from those who may agree fully or partially. The purpose is for me to expand my own perspective on this, while also potentially enriching others' views on the matter. Apologies if this doesn't come under the gamut of what is allowed in this subreddit.
So I've had a few unsuccessful relationships in the past, especially of late, where there was one particular pattern that made the relationship unsustainable in the long-term, despite the best intentions of both parties. That is asymmetry of one kind or another. Let me explain.
When I use the word "asymmetry" I am speaking very broadly about a range of phenomena. It could be something as fundamental as asymmetry in traits, or benign as asymmetry in interest, or something as frustrating as asymmetry in effort invested, or as potentially dangerous as asymmetry in ethics/values, power, standards, treatment or accountability. I'm sure there are more dimensions in which it is possible to observe asymmetry.
I'm listing some examples of asymmetry for clarity as to what I'm talking about:-
  1. Asymmetry in intelligence/maturity. One person being very intelligent or mature and the other person just not being there. Let's say they find each other very attractive for some reason. Despite that overwhelming attraction, this is eventually going to lead to frustrations in the long run. The mature person is going to feel not seen/heard and alone in that relationship and the not so mature person is going to either feel poor self-esteem in comparison or unable to relate to their more mature partner or feel like they're being dragged forward at a pace that is not comfortable for them.
  2. Asymmetry in effort. Anyone who puts an inordinate amount of effort into the relationship with someone who doesn't reciprocate is going to suffer eventually, even if initially they're happy to be that way. And the other person is going to grow dependent on the disproportionate efforts of their effortful partner. This isn't healthy for either of them.
  3. Asymmetry in ethics/values. Let's say one person is very good-hearted and empathetic and vicariously suffers at the sight of others suffering, they're not going to be able to enjoy the company of someone who values profit over ethics, regardless of how accepting they are. Their consensus over decision-making will suffer immensely.
  4. Asymmetry in powecontrol in the relationship. This is a relatively well-established red flag. One person makes all the decisions, and the other person doesn't get to even protest, let alone participate in the decision-making. Theoretically, if the follower was to have an inordinate amount of trust upon the leader in the relationship; and if the leader were to have inordinate amount of self-control and love towards their follower in the relationship, they could live harmoniously, just as a healthy parent and child can live harmoniously in a relationship that is asymmetrical in the dimension of powecontrol. But in the context of a romantic relationship, where mutual understanding and independence are valued, this can lead to the partners missing out on fundamental joys of a more symmetrical relationship.
  5. Asymmetry in treatment. This forays into the realm of outright toxic relationships. Let's say partner A is always kind and respectful to partner B even when they falter and is always happy to calmly explain the mistakes to partner B. And partner A is also happy to reflect on their own mistakes and change their ways. But let's say partner B simply explodes in anger at the slightest mistake made by partner A. And the prospect of partner A pointing out the mistakes of partner B would lead to more harm to partner A than simply letting it slide. This can lead to an abuser-abusee kind of a relationship in no time.
I'm sure there are more examples for what I'm talking about (asymmetry in sexual drive, lifestyle, mental health, past trauma etc), but this should suffice in bringing clarity about what I'm talking about.
In my observation there is no such thing as a relationship between two well-intentioned individuals where only one person suffers. If one partner suffers for whatever reason, the other partner is going to suffer for different reasons. You either suffer together or rejoice together. Even if it is an abusive relationship, where it may seem that the abuser is depleting the abusee for personal pleasure, the abusee merely staying in that relationship allows the abuser to grow deeper in their toxic tendencies with immunity. And someone being toxic towards others is always a consequence of their toxicity consuming them first and overflowing onto others. They temporarily rejoice at the presence of someone else to abuse only because they don't have to suffer their toxicity alone.
But even as I'm writing about the effect of asymmetry in long-term sustainable relationships, I am skeptical of a simplistic conclusion. As with anything, there are exceptions. There are individuals in long-term relationships with significant age gap where there is a natural asymmetry in maturity and lived experience. There are individuals in long-term sustainable relationships where one partner is significantly wealthier and savvy with money and the other person isn't. Perhaps the asymmetry could be disproportionate, as I've indicated in the title. But it could still be healthy because there may be another dimension in which the relationship is asymmetric that somehow counterbalances the other asymmetry. For example, let's combine the two asymmetries I've pointed to as the exception here - a lonely old man with a lot of wealth and no one to share it all with falls in love with a very young woman who is struggling to pay her bills. There is clearly asymmetry in experience and wealth, but it need not lead to asymmetry in treatment or maturity. Someone young could be just as self-aware and mature as someone much older. And perhaps the young woman appreciates the benefits of being with this wealthy man so much that she shows all her affection, gratitude through how well she takes care of him and the old man cherishes her company so much that he showers her with gifts and experiences that she could never even imagine having by herself. So it could turn into a symbiotic relationship where the asymmetry could lead to phenomenal benefits for either partner.
So perhaps there is a pattern to the healthy exceptions of the trend I initially observed regarding the effect of asymmetry. Maybe the key is to have symmetry across some fundamental dimensions, like values, treatment and maturity and the rest will be sorted to benefit both. I don't know. I don't have all the answers. Hence this post. What are your thoughts?

2023.04.01 13:11 helpme3578 Employer Provided Housing

I don't want to provide too many details because anonymity is important here and I fear retaliation, but I will try to explain the situation the best I can.
I rent a house from my employer that shares a lot with the business. I act as the after hours person there. I am on call 24/7. My housing is dependent upon my employment there. As such we don't legally have a landlord/ tenant relationship and if I were to be fired I must vacate the premises in 24 hours.
At first I was getting a very fair deal on rent, but over the years my rent has been raised to the point that I don't have much left over after paying it. It is now well over 50% of my income even though my rent is still under market value for a comparable house in the area.
At this point the situation is starting to feel exploitative. I am starting to fall behind on rent payments and other bills, both of which I used to be able to easily afford.
I am just wondering what rights I have in this situation and if there are limits on how much rent they can charge me versus how much money I earn. I just want to be able to protect my rights in case the situation gets worse. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

2023.04.01 13:10 notgoodtuna Early 20s female new to the city, looking for friends!

(alt account for privacy reasons) Hey everyone! I recently moved here and I'm hoping to make some friends. I'll include some info about myself below, shoot me a comment/message if you think we'd connect, or maybe other suggestions for places/events someone like myself might be able to meet people!!!
I'm in my early 20s and female as the title says. I work in healthcare and I've been working my ass off lately so I haven't really had a chance to go out and try to meet people, but I'm going to try to cut back on the overtime in the next month or two. I will be going to CSN part time starting this summer but I don't think I'll take any in person classes until the fall. I would also love to start volunteering somewhere local but I'm waiting to get my work and school schedule more locked down before committing to anything.
I love going to concerts, I haven't been to any since moving here but I have one or two coming up this month. I also like festivals. I like traveling, from day trips to nearby areas to solo trips across the country. My more day to day hobbies include cooking, trying new restaurants, playing the Sims, reading (I'm LOVING the libraries here!!!!), making playlists, makeup. My guilty pleasure is all types of stupid pop culture stuff.
Stuff I would do back home with my friends for fun include: go on walks/hikes, eat at local restaurants, wander around antique or thrift stores, art museums/exhibits/First Fridays, go to shows for local bands, hang out at the bars (I generally prefer quieter, not crowded bars), or just hang out at home and watch Youtube videos together while eating snacks haha.
Tell me about yourself in the comments if you'd like! I hope everyone has a good weekend.

2023.04.01 13:08 NoobishSVK [RANT] The real April Fools joke are the Fall Guys players who stayed

[RANT] The real April Fools joke are the Fall Guys players who stayed
tl;dr - the title.
A longer version:
This is purely my opinion and some of you might not agree with this, but it's been way too long and I'm starting to get furious when it comes to this game. The issues are starting to be unbearable and the lack of care from the devteam just makes me feel bitter at best.
https://preview.redd.it/k92e9pe839ra1.png?width=320&format=png&auto=webp&s=5774825537651b59b3dca818b709a27167a91650
Usually, we got an event event for April Fools. As you might have noticed, this did NOT happen today sadly, despite some apparent "leaks" related to an event called kraken gaming!!.
Instead, as a spit on the face from Epic Games & Mediatonic we got this:
https://preview.redd.it/hhdh1vt059ra1.png?width=660&format=png&auto=webp&s=92a82ca02cb10fd3f618c3d339c56fa9cf241a42
Yes, exactly. As a replacement to the event, Mediatonic along with Epic made a cash-grab store skin, yeah, really funny.
https://preview.redd.it/j4t8weja59ra1.png?width=320&format=png&auto=webp&s=896f0849eceed9ed67f6fae375b7f87cb89aa6f0
Map rotation, or rather the lack of it has been a problem for a long time now. Remember when Mediatonic unvaulted all the maps by accident, which made all the players happy? Pepperidge farm remembers.
Now it feels like the devs/Epic Games management team both don't want us to play the game, they only want us to buy skins as most of the maps are completely fine as they are in the added custom show called the Vault.
The maps that have been bugged before, with a promise that they would be fixed simply were not touched. Unfortunately, it's so bad to the point you can always predict what the next map is going to be, especially in Duo/Squad modes. Seriously, I'm getting tired of playing Fall Ball as the final after playing Pegwin Party, Hoopsie Daisy and Jinxed every single game.

https://preview.redd.it/d77v46kc69ra1.png?width=320&format=png&auto=webp&s=8b1786b3693f6b69a0134306a12c48a356cb16d6
Basically this. The people behind Fall Guys know what we want exactly. They see it every day as they can't really escape all the rants from players, as they're everywhere - Twitter, Reddit. We don't know what's happening on the other side though. Players are incredibly unhappy, but Epic Games might just be happy because people are still buying showbucks without any new content.

https://preview.redd.it/5llelfyy69ra1.png?width=320&format=png&auto=webp&s=e2c2184e1ba4dc4c72afce7412015125a855e587
Seriously, what's EAC even for? No manual bans? Is this a joke? Why does EAC even run in the first place? Especially over the last few days, I bet the majority of you has seen a hacker playing constantly and bothering other people - they managed to get over 1200 wins without getting banned, along with dozens of videos on this subreddit of this exact player. Really? This would have been unnacceptable in all the other games.
https://preview.redd.it/7c6x6q3p79ra1.png?width=320&format=png&auto=webp&s=f83f2d5fd1c884fa824fee388b1ffad5e4b56d3d
Half a year of no map rotation, the exact same events with skin recolors - if this doesn't show that you are lazy, I don't know what does. Next season delayed, level editor being outsourced. What are the devs even doing? What's worse is that there are no beta tests anymore, just furthermore proving how there is zero QA and care left for the game. On top of that, we got no map leaks, which could mean that there are actually zero new maps coming next season.
----
There are so many issues with this game that if I wanted to write them all, it will probably cross the reddit character limit per post, I'm just going to keep it at this. If you want to vent, just follow up with your issues in the comments, I'll be sure to read them.
I'm not going to beg for these issues to be fixed, because I know they won't be touched and this post will be disregarded by Epic Games/Mediatonic. Worst case scenario I could get banned for expressing my opinion, in which case as a little help - my Epic Games handle is the same as my reddit username, enjoy yourselves.
Have a good day!
PS: The description of this subreddit is a lie.

Girls' sadness and joy can also be entertained with a bottle of wine!

As night falls, restaurants and bars are bustling with excitement. Countless young people are here to celebrate, relieve their worries, and tell their inner stories. Looking around, most of the wine tables were filled with red wine. Countless young people lightly hold the crystal goblets, and the purple wine swayed gently in the glasses, everything is so natural and so elegant.
The melodious sound of the piano and the flickering candlelight gradually added to the peaceful night. Under the influence of red wine, these young people gradually entered a state of slight intoxication. They used the smell of wine to relax their tired bodies, and talked about life with their friends through red wine.
I asked them what kind of wine they drank, and they told me: "Of course it is Lei Sheng red wine!" I have heard that Lei Sheng red wine is very popular in the circle of literary and artistic youth. Then why do literary youths love Leisheng red wine so much?
"That's because Lei Sheng red wine is very artistic!" Literary youth A said. "This wine is endorsed by the famous director Zhang Jizhong. For a literary person like Director Zhang, the wine endorsed is naturally full of literary style."
"I choose Leisheng red wine because Leisheng red wine understands my heart best. Leisheng focuses on the high quality of wine, and every drop of wine is carefully crafted and full of deep emotions. There are many kinds of this wine, whether it is to entertain relatives or friends , a romantic date, a drink at home or a gift, everything can meet my needs. Lei Sheng red wine, like the roundworm in my body, can easily read my heart." Literary Youth B said.
More and more literary youths came to me and told me the advantages of Leisheng. In fact, the literary youth love Leisheng red wine, the most important thing is that Leisheng red wine is full of literary, fashionable and romantic atmosphere, and being accompanied by Leisheng can bring them a sense of petty bourgeoisie.
Choosing red wine means choosing a high-quality life. As a literary youth, petty bourgeois life is our pursuit. Let us let go of the distracting thoughts in our hearts, savor the fine wine to our heart's content, enjoy the smoothness and freedom, and feel relaxed and willful. As a literary youth, if you also like red wine, welcome to communicate with us.

2023.04.01 13:04 RyanzRetroReviewz The Vikings - 1958- RyanzRetroReviewz

The Vikings - 1958

The Vikings is a 1958 epic semi historical/romance movie directed by Richard Fleischer (the son of the great american animatoinnovator and early cartoon producer Max Fleischer, responsible for the creations of Popeye the Sailor man, Betty Boop and many more), who after having spent years in the B movie industry, was now riding high on the success of his Walt Disney produced 1954 adaption of the classic Jules Verne novel "20,000 leagues under the sea" (also starring Kirk Douglas) when he decided to take on the helms of this larger scale and more adult orieneted epic full of love, lust and bloodshed all set in the Viking Age of England and Scandinavia.
With the starring role of this picture going to the mammoth of acting that was Kirk Douglas (although before the more well known "Spartacus" from 1961, this is after he had played the part of Perseus in the 1956 "Ulysseus" movie, so he was already on top), fresh off his hot streak with his new sidekick of a director from "20,000" (Douglas personally hired Fleishcer for this, being that it was his own production company behind the financing). He is non-casually joined by the all time (and/or old time) Hollywood couple Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh (progenitors of the now Scream Queen of old, not to mention still world class beauty, Jamie-Lee Curtis) making this their fifth out of eleven movies together, as well as a big old bowl of Ernest Borgnine dumped on top, having already solidified himself on the big screen as both a well known character actor and a main star. Now, when a movie can boast about having such a combination of high quality talent as this, you know it's bound to be great (although, there are exceptions).
The prologue title sequence of this movie alone is worth note, giving us the audience the pleasure of hearing the stern but soothing (if that makes any sense) voice of the great Orson Welles as he explains to us the whos, whats, whens, and why's of the Norse-Viking expansions and invasions into the British Isles, as well as the political landscape of England itself at this time in history. This is done as we're shown a bunch of spectacuclar tapestry/parchment paper drawings of Vikings battling against Englishmen, complete with a more than perfectly passionate orchestral theme that invokes the thought of the King Arthur tales of yore, all coming together to add a real sense of authenticity to this epic that we've yet to even see begin...which it does with a bang.
Or the swipe of a sword to be more exact, as the Viking leader Ragnar (Borgnine) and his band of warriors fall down upon the camp of the English King Edwin of Northumbria. The two leaders enter into a private duel in the King's tent, with Ragnar slaying his foe and further forcing himself down upon the deadman's wife, Queen Enid, ultimately and unknowingly impregnanting her before disappearing back into the Northlands. Knowing that the child is that of Ragnar's, but will still be seen as a threat to the new King Aella (Frank Thring), Enid gives birth to the child whom she names Eric, in secret and finally sends him away to Italy with her most confident of priests, placing the hilt stone of the King's rightful sword on a rope around his next to later one day be indentified as true heir to the throne of Northumbria.
Years later at the court of King Aella, we come to meet princess Morgana of Wales (Janet Leigh), as her Father pledges her to Aella as a token of alliance between their two kingdoms. King Echbert of Wessex (James Donald) is then brought up on charges of aiding the Vikings in their raids on England's kingdom's in order to protect his own lands, and is thrown into the dungeons to die. We learn that the charges are true when Echbert escapes from Northumbria and finds refuge with the Viking leader Ragnar aboard his longship. The vikings travel back to Scandinavia with Echbert and his promises to continue providing them with coastline and river maps for further raid and plunder.
The incredbily wide shot scenes of the long ships coming into port in the fords of Norway are truly spectacular (clearly being filmed on location), elevated by the realistic built sets that make up the Viking and village (not to mention the ships themselves), as well as the dozens of costumes and hairstyles worn by the extras that are showcased throughout (and a really awesome Viking horn blower welcoming the warriors back home each time, echoing the fantastic sounding orchestral theme of the movie yet again). Also, we now get some of that real over the top barbarian type behaviour being portrayed by Ainar (Douglas), son of Rangar, as we, the mostly uneducated in history average film-goer, would expect out of any and all vikings on screen (it is pretty awesome though); complete with beer guzzling, barell smashing, deranged angry tones, and wishes for barrels of blood to guzzle down instead of that of beer.
Ainar hates all Englishmen, but agrees to his Father and Chieftain's demands to keep after Echbert and see that he wants for nothing. One day while breaking in their hunting hawks, Ainar starts up a confrontation with a slave named Eric (Tony Curtis), the unknowing son of Ragnar, subsequent half brother of Ainar, and true King of Northumbria, who had been abducted from his ship en-route to Italy all those years ago. Eric then sicks his own hawk that he's recently found onto his oppressor, leaving Ainar with only one good eye, and himself now with a guaranteed death sentence.
At the feasting hall however, a volva woman steps in against Ragnar's judgement of death, claiming that the gods do not wish for Eric to die by any man's hand, to which Ragnar outsmarts and has Eric taken instead to a rock pool off the coast at high tide to await an eventual death from drowning. Echbert though finds the stone from around Eric's neck and, realizing who he is, goes down to the rock pool to save him and claim him as his own slave in order to keep him safe from Ainar. We also get some more awesome over the top barbarian type behavior, now complete with ass smacking, random kissing orgies, more beer guzzling and axes being thrown at a Viking's wife's hair braids to judge whether she's been faithful or not (this movie's about as toxic male chauvinist as it gets, but still... really awesome).
Echbert eventually finishes his maps for the Vikings, as well giving them the idea to abduct and ransom Princess Morgana before her marriage to Aella, with Ainar carrying out the task and giving us a pretty decent battle at sea in the process. Ainar though, now falls madly in love with Morgana and wishes to claim her as his own. When back at the hall once again, we get even more over the top barbarian behavior, beer guzzling, rape jokes, etc, etc, (what do you want from them?, they're Vikings), all this before Ragnar finally concedes to his son's wants and needs, allowing him to claim Morgana as his own. But when Ainar tries to force himself upon her, Eric appears from behind and knocks him out, bringing Morgana to escape with him on a boat to England.
A really-rad boat chase scene ensues through the fog filled fjords, culminating in the collision of both Ragnar and Ainar's boats into one another, sending half of the Vikings to their deaths. All but Ragnar that is, who's saved and pulled onto Eric's boat, heading straight for the King of Northumbria. Ainar swears revenge against Eric, while the two escapees fall madly in love en-route to England.
At the court of King Aella, Eric hands over Ragnar then asks that Morgana be relieved of her pledge of marriage, to which she agrees with. The King demands that she take more time to reflect with her priest, then forces Eric to try to take part in the execution of Ragnar by pushing him into a rabid wolf pit. Eric refuses by cutting Ragnar's bonds and giving him a sword, so that he may die a warrior's death and be aloud to enter Valhalla, giving us an extremely climactic ending of Ernest Borgnine's character in this tale as he raises his arms and voice to summon Odin the All-Father, before jumping to his death in the wolf pit, sword in hand and smile on his face (man Vikings were badass!).
Eric has his hand chopped off as punishment and is set adrift into the sea, but not before the priest and Morgana find the King's "pummel[stone" amongst Eric's belongings, coming to the realization that he is the true heir of Northumbria. Morgana then runs in the room just in time to see Eric's amputation, letting out a horrific scream at the sight of it (she wasn't called America's first "Scream Queen" for nothing folks. So this is where Jamie-Lee gets it from eh).
Back in Scandinavia, Ainar is now King of the Vikings, but can't seem to raise an army to retrieve Morgana, until Eric comes back and tells them of Ragnar's death. The two (still unknowing) half brothers now team up to defeat the tyrant King Aella, to both gain revenge for Ragnar and to rescue Morgana, leading the "Great Heathen Army" across the sea to England (in the year of our lord 865 for those of you history buffs).
Between the ships leaving of Scandinavia, and the army's landing and setting up of their assault on Northumbria, you really come to ask yourself as to why film-goers are NEVER treated to such a large scale production as this anymore (well, at least not since The Lord of The Rings as I recall). The amount of extras, costume pieces and props required for this must have been incredible, but all completely necessary in the creation of a full on believable historic setting such as this.
So the Vikings land and lay siege unto Aella's stronghold, battering rams, catapults, axes, spears, swords, the works (not to mention Kirk Douglas scaling the Castle's front door using only axes for leverage. Again, you just don't see stuff like this anymore). Ainar cuts his way through to Morgana's room, but upon realizing that she loves Eric, and that Eric is also a son of Ragnar, he takes her to confront his half brother and fight for their prize.
Eric meets Ainar at the top of the castle and the two enter into an extremely well coordinated battle of the blades, until Ainar breaks Eric's sword that is. But Eric seizes a moment of hesitation that befalls Ainar, and stabs his half brother in the gut with the broken down blade of his sword. Ainar then drops his sword, but Eric picks it up and gives it back to him, again allowing for a true Viking death. He uses the last of his strength in a final roar to summon up Odin, then Ainar is no more. Eric and Morgana embrace each other with love bringing us to the end of this movie, but not before treating the audience to an authentic Viking cremation funeral for Ainar, in which he is cast off to see in a ship and flaming arrows sent flying to the mass. We watch the ship and Ainar's body burn as the credits to "The Vikings" comes up once more, leading us into the ending credits with more authentic looking parchment scroll drawings of the Vikings battling against Englishmen, and finally coming together as one (accompanied again by the awe inspiring orchestral themes of yore every step of the way).
To sum it all up, "The Vikings" (1958) is literally THE - BEST Viking movie that's ever been made. Full of high quality A-list stars (to which I'd say is one of both Kirk's and Tony's coolest characters ever portrayed on screen), and a great group of secondary character actors like James Donald, Frank Thring, Eileen Way and many more. The story is well put together by screenwriters Calder Willingham and Dale Wiserman (based on a novel by Edison Marshall), with the underlying theme being the coming together of two peoples, as well as giving us a pretty cool backstory for a very real and historic time in Northwestern Europe. The wide scale shots and surrounding sceneries caught by DP Jack Cardiff are truly amazing, joined by epic scale (and pretty damn authentic) sets-props-hairstyles and makeups, very well coordinated swordfights and stunts, and lets not foget the awe inspiring orchestral theme of yore laid down by composer Mario Nascimbene and conductor Franco Ferrara. All this is brought together perfectly by director Max Fleischer in what was definitely the largest scale movie of his career. I would recommend this movie not only to fans of retro cinema, but to anyone who loves epic scale warrior movies, as well as to general ancient world history buffs.
And that's all she wrote folks.
Thanks for reading.

2023.04.01 12:58 Any_Engineering How to avoid fake SARMs when buying online.

Are you looking to boost your muscle growth, endurance, and overall performance? Then you might have come across the buzz around Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators or SARMs. These compounds promise to offer similar benefits to anabolic steroids without the harmful side effects. However, the market for SARMs is largely unregulated, which means there is a risk of buying fake or adulterated products. In this article, we will share some tips to help you avoid fake SARMs when buying online.
Say Goodbye to Fakes: Learn How to Spot Real SARMs Online!
When shopping for SARMs, it's essential to do your research and buy from reputable sources. Avoid purchasing from shady websites that offer unbelievable discounts or have no physical address or contact number. Look for companies that have transparent policies regarding their sourcing, manufacturing, and quality testing processes. Check if they have certificates of analysis (COAs) from third-party labs that verify the purity and potency of their products.
Another way to spot fake SARMs is by checking the packaging and labeling. Legitimate SARMs usually come in sealed, tamper-proof containers with clear instructions on how to use them. The labels should have the manufacturer's name, address, and contact information. If the packaging looks shoddy or has spelling errors, it's best to steer clear. You can also verify the batch number on the label with the COA to ensure that the product is genuine.

Get Your Gains the Right Way: Follow These Tips to Avoid Scams!

Apart from doing your due diligence when buying SARMs, you should also be wary of fake reviews and testimonials. Some companies pay people to write positive reviews or create fake social media profiles to promote their products. Look for genuine feedback from real customers who have used the product consistently and for an extended period. You can check forums, Reddit threads, and other online communities to get unbiased opinions about specific SARMs brands.
Lastly, be realistic about the results you can achieve with SARMs. While they can aid in building lean muscle mass, improving strength, and reducing fat, they are not magic pills. If a company promises to deliver instant or exaggerated results without any effort on your part, it's likely a scam. Remember that the best way to get sustainable gains is through a balanced diet, regular exercise, and adequate rest.
By following these tips, you can avoid fake SARMs and get the benefits you deserve from legitimate products. Don't compromise your health and safety by buying from sketchy sources or falling for marketing gimmicks. Invest in your fitness journey by choosing quality SARMs and incorporating them into your overall wellness plan.

2023.04.01 12:53 blackbaysands Wann Widerspruch, wann Neuantrag?

Hallo zusammen,

2023.04.01 12:50 Deafbok9 Milo crossed the rainbow bridge today.

Milo crossed the rainbow bridge today.
Today, I am broken.
This year has had one emotional gut punch after another, from not making the SA Deaf Rugby world cup squad to personal issues to needing a full kitchen rebuild...and now today.
Goodbye is the hardest thing to say.
Milo crossed the rainbow bridge at 08h37. He went peacefully and easily in our arms after spending a last glorious morning in a patch of sunshine. He knew he was loved to the end - and let us know he loved us.
He was the first dog I had that was mine. The little idiot moved out with me when I left my parents' home because he kept tangling with their German Shepherds - the worst fight resulted in him getting a puncture through his snout, & when the skin slipped over the break...He swelled up like a balloon. Looked like one of those animals in the "If animals were fat" comic short animations.
So, on moving day, my mother announced that either my brother or I would have to take him.
So, that was it. One potato dog & a bachelor in a tiny wooden hut.
He was my companion throughout my 20s. He was there when I started dating my wife, & I think managed to capture her heart as much as I did.
He was full of rubbish. Came to us addicted to coffee & tea - used to whine & get the shakes for it if we didn't give him the last little bit in the mug!
Always loved just being with us.
He managed to surprise us often, though - at an SPCA dog walk/charity event, this lazy little couch potato WON an agility competition! He'd never so much as done a course before in his life, but went with my wife & flew over all the obstacles.
Won a few months' worth of food for himself off that one, which really helped my student budget...
When we got married & moved to Westville, he bullied our landlady's Great Danes mercilessly. Schmuck.
Then there was the Dassie incident. He cornered it behind our flat. There was much barking. As we got up to investigate, he came flying back, blood everywhere, before turning around and hurtling out again. I had to guide the very upset rodent to the gate with a broom, & the sausage added another scar on his nose to his collection of battle scars.
He also chased a few alpacas on a visit to a friend's farm. Never did actually click to his actual size, and always, always was larger than life.
There were scary moments, too, like the time he almost drowned after falling in our landlord's pool the first day after we moved in.
A move down to Durban North meant trips to the beach. We also got to meet "Uncle Pete", our last landlord, who took a real shine to him & would often take him with on adventures with his dogs whilst we were at work.
As he got older, the walks got shorter, & eventually he became the talk of the Umhlanga promenade because dad had to carry him every time - eventually in his own shoulder-slung bag.
He was there for our engagement, our wedding, and every anniversary.
He helped us through the tough times, through the fights and the tears and the disappointments that life throws at you.
He kept us sane during lockdown...(Did he really..?)
At long last, we landed in our first home that was ours. One blind, deaf, but faithful old boy in tow, with Bakkies, a rescue cat we'd picked up along the way. They tolerated each other, with moments of affection. Bakkies went first.
This week, we knew it was the end.
We had one last glorious day.
Break-up day at school, so mom & dad were home early. We got to sit outside in the sunshine in our little garden together.
We went to the park & got spoilt rotten.
Chimkin nuggets. Biltong. All the cuddles.
We got a hoof, our favourite treat.
Then we sat outside with mom and dad, and got to have coffee again after years of "sobriety", having been weaned off his addiction soon after we got married.
A beautiful morning for our last day on earth.
We got to sit with mom and dad for a few hours in a patch of Sun. There were head scritches and tail wags.
A last dance with mom.
An hour or so just sitting on dad's lap.
In the end, he slipped away peacefully - one last lick, tail going slowly, as he fell asleep in my arms.
Farewell, Milo.
You were the best dog anyone could have hoped for.

2023.04.01 12:50 No_Push_4876 FTB Tenancy and Shared Ownership Advice

I'm a FTB looking at a new build shared ownership development as the landlord of my current rental property has said they will be putting the rent up 40% when my contract ends. I've spoken to the developers (and passed the affordability assessment) and they have advised that they are aiming viewings and reservation around early May with June /July as tentative move in dates. So I don't actually have anything concrete as yet.
I'm aware that delays can happen and things can be pushed back but my worry is what to do regarding my rental contract. The tenancy expires at the end of April, the contract states it will move to periodic after this and 2 months written notice needs to be given. The letting agents have been asking me for a decision that they want before the contract expires at the end of the month. My assumption is that if I don't agree to the increase the landlord will then provide a section 21 notice with 2 months to vacate. ( I know that this doesn't mean I have to leave as the landlord can start eviction proceedings through court).
My question here is what would the best course of action be with the landlord? Ideally I would want to roll the contract to the end of July if the timeframe on the SO works out but 2 months notice would take me to the end of June. However I'm aware that if I don't agree to the new contract or if the landlord was generous and did agree to roll until July and the SO falls through or has excessive delays I'm putting myself in a position where I will have nowhere to live. Would a landlord offer a 3/4 month contract or is this not likely?

2023.04.01 12:43 THROWRANEEDJOWA I (24F) think I fell in love with my friends (22M) voice and personality, but I'm not sure.

TW: MENTAL HEALTH/SELF HARM
So about me. I'm NBSB, its because I'm very sheltered and protected by my family and friends, but I met this guy on reddit, let's call him Shawn. I'm not in the best mental headspace, and I personally know that I'm not ready for a relationship, nor does he like me.
I've first heard him on a Sunday through a call and damn, his voice is just so soothing and deep. I felt myself melting at his kind words and plans as a friend (he doesn't intend to get into a relationship yet, he also knows people tend to fall for him so I had to hide I was melting.)
But he's such a great guy, I recently attempted suicide and self harmed and despite our distances he was willing to travel for me 🥺 he always asks how I am and how I've been doing, showing concern whenever I need help and being overall a great friend. At this point, I wouldn't mind having him as a boyfriend. But yet again I'm not ready mentally, I know
I'm just falling in love with him because I look forward to his messages everyday, and despite my mental health he accepts me for who I am and I reply hella quick and I can feel my heart racing at his voice
So how do I get rid of these feelings? Am I really falling or is this just infatuation?

2023.04.01 12:40 Impressive-Employ233 How do you take care of your mental health after picking?

TW: Mental Illness
Background: I had a bad relapse yesterday. I don't know if relapse is the correct word but that is what it feels like. I noticed my mental health really going down the drain (I suffer from depression and GAD) after a picking session because I know I have then landed myself a few days of isolation because I do not want to go outside or socialize because it makes me very self-conscious. I had plans with friends yesterday and was really looking forward to it but then my brain decided to destroy my face to the point I couldn't even cover it up.. I decided to be honest with them and tell them what is going on and that I couldn't join them because I felt mentally unstable and needed time alone. I do a little bit of commercial modeling and tomorrow there would be a little project with a fashion start up and I would've loved to be part of it but I just don't think I have the confidence to perform well so I'm thinking already about what to say so I can cancel it.
I fall into a very bad depression after picking and I wonder if it is ever going to end. I'm so sick and tired of this habit making my life miserable. I have cancelled plans so very often in the past because of it. I know, people will say just ignore it, friends will like you for who you are and I know they do BUT it doesn't help me with not getting in my head and being self-conscious all the time. I cannot enjoy my time with friends or family or pursue my dreams.
My question is how do you take care of your mental health after a picking session? What helps you the days after? How do you deal with socializing?
I go to therapy but in my country there are not really any therapists specialised in skinpicking or at least I haven't found one. I guess I just wanted to share my feelings here. Wish you all the best and hopefully we can all get through this! :)

  • The #1 way to melt away your prospect’s objections with ease… and turn them into devout BELIEVERS for life
  • The “mother” of ALL copywriting formulas… Single-handedly responsible for BILLIONS of dollars in sales (and NO, it’s not “AIDA”, “PAS”, or “PPPP”)
  • Eugene Schwartz’s 4 game-changing marketing secrets that revolutionized the marketing industry as we know it. (In fact, one of these is the sole reason why sales funnels exist today!)
  • 7 proven ”quick-n-dirty”copywriting templates & checklists you can use to reliably pump out winning copy FAST – even if you’re a beginner
Module 2

The Psychology Behind Persuasive Copywriting & Copy-Thinking

I promise you’ve never seen a more advanced masterclass in emotional response marketing before.
In this module, you’ll discover:
  • The secret evolutionary psychology behind persuasive messages that NO ONE talks about
  • A deep dive into the world of emotional persuasion… through the lens of the BEST emotional copywriters of all time
  • How to identify & tap into your ideal prospect’s deepest NEGATIVE emotions like Shame, Fear, Anger, and Guilt
  • How to identify & tap into your ideal prospect’s deepest POSITIVE emotions like Redemption and Unconditional Acceptance (Often-overlooked emotions that actually drive action like CRAZY!)
  • The BEST way to infuse these powerful emotions into your “Big Ideas” and Headlines to make them 10X more effective!
  • 7 core desires 99.9% of people constantly crave like crazy… and how to use these in your copywriting for maximum effectiveness
Module 3

The “No-Nonsense” 80/20 Marketing Research Process

Yes, yes – I know research isn’t the sexiest of topics out there…
But it’s an absolutely essential aspect of creating winning marketing campaigns.
So…
To make this important topic as painless and swift as possible, I scoured through thousands of pages of my notes…
Revisited scores of past projects I did with various clients…
And analyzed how the best of the best copywriters did their own research…
To come up with a totally UNIQUE blueprint for doing marketing research FAST, in a no-nonsense way.
That’s why, in this module, you’ll discover:
  • The REAL reason why research is soooo essential if you want to be successful
  • The ONLY 8 things you need to look for while doing research. (Most people waste 10s of hours “mindlessly” researching… but armed with this list, you’ll cut your research time by 80%!)
  • My custom-built “Ultimate Marketing Research Kit”that’s so effective… several past students have joined the program JUST to get access to this!
  • 5 of the BEST places to find exactly what you’re looking for FAST in 2022
  • How to know when you’ve done enough research… so you don’t spend any more time on it than needed!
  • 6 sneaky research mistakes you NEED to avoid like the plague! (HINT: 95% of copywriters are guilty of at least one… Are you?)
  • A simple process for finding the 7 key marketing campaign elements you need for winning campaigns
  • Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter’s coveted “6W Method”to quickly and reliably do high-impact customer research if you’re short on time
Module 4

Because Module 4 is all about the highest-impact copywriting elements out there:

Choosing a chauffeur service for your pick up from Melbourne airport is a smart decision that can make your travel experience more comfortable and hassle-free. This article explains why a chauffeur service is the best option for your pick up from Melbourne airport, including convenience, professionalism, and comfort.
When arriving at Melbourne airport, you have several options for transportation to your destination. While public transportation and taxis may seem like convenient choices, there are many benefits to choosing a chauffeur service for your pick up from Melbourne airport. Here are some reasons why a chauffeur service is the best option for your pick up from Melbourne airport.
Convenience
One of the main advantages of using a chauffeur service for your pick up from Melbourne airport is convenience. With a chauffeur service, you don't have to worry about navigating the airport or finding a taxi. The chauffeur will be waiting for you at the designated pick up area, holding a sign with your name on it. They will then assist you with your luggage and take you directly to your destination. This can save you time and eliminate the stress of finding transportation on your own.
Professionalism
A chauffeur service offers a level of professionalism that you won't find with other forms of transportation. The chauffeur will be dressed in professional attire and will provide courteous and attentive service throughout your journey. They will also have a deep understanding of the local area and can provide valuable recommendations for restaurants, attractions, and other points of interest.
Comfort
A chauffeur service provides a high level of comfort that you won't find with public transportation or taxis. The vehicle will be clean and well-maintained, ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride. Additionally, the chauffeur will be trained to provide a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, allowing you to unwind after a long flight. This can be particularly beneficial if you have a long journey ahead or are arriving late at night.
Safety
Safety is another important consideration when choosing transportation from Melbourne airport. With a chauffeur service, you can feel confident that you are in safe hands. The chauffeur will be experienced and knowledgeable, ensuring a safe and smooth journey. Additionally, the vehicle will be regularly maintained and inspected to ensure optimal safety.
Conclusion
Choosing a chauffeur service for your pick up from Melbourne airport is a smart decision that can enhance your travel experience in many ways. From convenience and professionalism to comfort and safety, a chauffeur service provides a level of service that you won't find with other forms of transportation. Next time you are planning your travel to Melbourne, consider a chauffeur pick up from Melbourne airport for a truly hassle-free experience.

2023.04.01 12:29 consumered Looking for a few Suggestions for a Long Layover

Hi everyone! I have a long layover in Japan and will be going from Haneda Airport to Narita Airport.
I'm wanting to eat at a good sushi restaurant somewhere in Tokyo , and would like to go to 1 tourist area either in Tokyo or Narita.
I expect we only really have time to do 1 thing, so I'm looking for suggestions to pick the best place to stop by on our layover.
Thanks everyone for the help!

2023.04.01 12:28 sandy_catheter It was a hard week, and a particularly hard Friday, but I made it

I lurk here. I don't like to talk about my alcoholism, but this community is the best safety net I have and I want to give back.
I had the drink menu in my hands at the restaurant last night, but I went with water instead. I had a pretty rough week, and next week won't be much better, but reminding myself over and over again that I don't want to spend the weekend laying on the couch hungover only to face Monday unrested and angry at myself beat out the urge this time.
I spent most of yesterday planning to drink, then talking myself out of it. From when I got up at 3am, then taking my daughter to her doctor's appointment at 730am, then working until 4pm, then laying on the exam table at the cardiologist's office getting an echocardiogram and talking about my prognosis, then back to work, then off to the Mexican restaurant with my wife and daughter. It came down to one moment, one choice. I chose water.
I know me - I can't just have one drink. That one drink makes me not care what the next one, and the next one, and the rest of the bottle is going to do to me. As long as I don't have that first drink, I can choose not to have the rest of them. One drink takes away my ability to choose.
I wish I could say I felt good today, but that wouldn't be true. I can say, though, that I could feel a hell of a lot worse. And I can say that if I spend the weekend on the couch, it's because I want to, not because I have to. Because I did not drink yesterday.
Thank you to every person here who is struggling and chooses to help people like me by sharing your stories. I will not drink with you today.
