Why is it that despite being the original archetypal healer class Holy priests are always mediocre or plain bad? I don't understand why they always seem to be this jack of all trades class where nothing is ever actually good? Surely this should be the best or at least one of the top healers consistently as it's the original, flimsy, cloth wearing heal class? I'm not a priest main, haven't played disc since atonement was wrecked at the end of mop. I have just always found this puzzling as I'd genuinely like to play a good holy priest.

Hello, fellow racers. Today I want to share with you my frustration with Asphalt 9 on iOS. I have been playing this game for a while and I have to say, it is one of the worst experiences I have ever had on a mobile device.
First of all, the game is full of bugs and glitches. Sometimes the cars disappear from the screen, sometimes they fly off the track, sometimes they crash into invisible walls. The physics are so unrealistic that it makes me wonder if the developers ever drove a real car in their lives.

The three-man Gamma cell is returning from a successful mission with their contact, a Throne Agent. He informs them that something is up. They detour to a deep space site where a destroyer in the employ of a Rogue Trader has made a discovery: A derelict wreck of a Mechanicus Light Cruiser. Now, this ship ventured along with a fleet on an expedition into the Adrantis Nebula and was missing ever since. The RT has bartered this information to the Ordos in exchange for undefined favors. The Ordos intend on breaching, getting as much information on what happened to the expedition and getting the he'll out of Dodge before anyone notices, especially the Mechanicus. The cell, along with a squad of void-capable armsmen from the RT ship board the crippled cruiser and find it in chaos. Servitors running wild and attacking seemingly randomly. Way more eerie are various paranormal occurrences that impact both the cell and the servitors. Gravity, atmosphere and various appliances are acting up and strange three purple eyes hover in the darkness. From recovered documents the events come to light: - the fleet of 8 vessels ventured into the Nebula on a research mission. - they encountered unknown dead worlds and recovered a slew of artefacts. - there was a feud on board between the chief magos engineer and the Navigator, and they bickered endlessly. - the expedition was attacked by a single unknown battleship (Slaught) and destroyed with only this ship surviving because of a timely dash to the transfer point. - just before the transit they were hit and crippled with the bridge vented and various other breaches. - the chief magos engineer plugged himself into any system he could to save the vessel. Most of the crew died. He only has his servitors and what is left of repair facilities for them. - the Navigator initially survived and guided the stricken vessel through the warp for a few days, she still argued with the engineer. - when they agreed on returning to realspace an overload surge did even more damage. This time the Navigator was killed and her soul was fused with the ship and she now haunts it poltergeist-style. The engineer's servitors still chasing her ghost all over the place. - the engineer went mad in his own right and now is fused in a jumble of cables in the enginarium. He sends his servitors out to "hunt for the witch".
The cell might go two ways: - kill the engineer but forever aggravate the Mechanicus. - perform a ritual to banish the Navigator's spirit (as she wants to die anyway)
In the end a Mechanicus ship of the Lords Dragon shows up with a "no witnesses" policy. The cell will have to get some diplomacy going to get out of that case alive. If they do, there will be some nice tech rewards and a Secutor rank for the Tech Priest.

I noticed My car had developed some engine noise on start-up with lifter ticking. After much research online, I found most suggestions to sort it out, were to do very stupid things such as doing an engine oil flush, an oil change, then adding an additive designed to 'cure' the problem. If you have the same issue, this is NOT something you should do, as it could actually wreck a modern engine. Further digging online, I discovered that it is something that certain BMWs are prone to as well. It's to do with a lack of oil supply to the lifter, and you need to charge the upper system with oil, forcing it into the hydraulic lifter(s) through the tiny holes that keep them fed. Evidently, low oil levels can starve them of a proper supply as they're at the very top of the engine, and this is the cause of the ticking. A BMW technician explained and showed the technique they use to deal with this issue, and it's really quite simple. Check the oil level is correct, then start the engine, increase the revs to over 3000, and hold it at that level for 3 minutes, not dropping below the 3k mark. This forces oil into the lifters enabling them to function as they're designed to...quietly! He said that they find this should solve the problem for approximately 4 months or more, then repeat this process if and when necessary, especially after an oil change, to make sure that the system is again fully charged with oil. I did this to my car this morning, and I have to say, the difference was immediately noticeable. I took it for a drive straight afterward, and the engine was running sweeter and quieter than it had for quite a while...it was back to its old self again...and the best bit is, it didn't cost anything to achieve a great result, well, apart from a few drops of petrol to rev the engine up, and no dodgy additives! Symptoms like this can go unnoticed, as the gradual increase in noise level is at first pretty much imperceptible, especially if you have any hearing loss, as I do. So, it's only when you have the bonnet open for other things that you suddenly become aware that the engine is a bit 'ticky'. I shall be keeping an eye on things (or should that be...keeping an ear on things?), and hopefully in a few shorter oil change periods. this problem may be gone altogether.

I bought 2 Starlink units intending to put one on the 'Portability' option & pause it till I need it, with the other one mounted at my residence ready to go in case some idiot takes out the vulnerable Fiber Optic lines with a wreck.
If Fiber Optic internet is disabled for too long, I plan on activating the 'Paused' unit (I presume it's quick) to get internet back. Would I be transferring the Modem or the Dish itself? I see there is ways to eliminate the Starlink Router altogether which makes me think the 'Portable' part is actually the Dish it self. Does anyone know for sure?

Heading into month 5 of T and getting ready to start thinking about spending some $$ on a tinnitus masking "hearing aid". I'm tired of carrying my phone playing Tibetan bells all over the house, playing bird noises in my office like a wacko, or wearing earphones all the time so people think I'm not listening to them. The sounds do help me. I mean, I'd love some quiet, but when the T is covered up at least I am not a wreck.
I have no hearing loss, so I don't need that tech, just something comfy and discrete that can play bluetooth and masking sounds, with a rechargeable battery.
Anyone here have a recommendation?

I have no hearing loss, so I don't need that tech, just something comfy and discrete that can play bluetooth and masking sounds, with a rechargeable battery.
Anyone here have a recommendation?

2023.04.01 09:45 untrained9823 Some fruits destroy my teeth...
I ate some pineapple yesterday and it was delicious, but it also wrecked my teeth. It caused a lot of tooth sensitivity. The acidity of the fruit in combination with the sugar is just so bad for teeth. Almost like a soft drink. It even burned my skin a little bit around the mouth! Sure, my teeth are particulary sensitive to this because of years of lack fat-soluble vitamins and bad dental hygiene, but at this point, no amount of fat-soluble vitamins, calcium or brushing can get me to a point where some of these fruits aren't a problem for my teeth and I simply have to avoid them. This WOE is awesome, but I do wonder how much all this fruit is damaging people's teeth even when their teeth are much stronger than mine. Just look at the teeth of long-term raw vegans and frutarians. I mostly stick to less problematic fruit like bananas and often just eat meat, goat's milk yogurt and white rice and honey for carbs and avoid making fruit a larger part of my meals.

 | We are coming up on two years since we lost Fiona. My husband and I got her when we were dating and she was our first baby before our actual human babies. I’ve had cats my entire life but losing Fiona has just wrecked me. Years prior at a vet appointment the vet had mentioned she had a heart murmur but it was said very offhand and we were told it wasn’t a big deal; we assume her heart just gave out. She was only 9. I think I’m mainly posting this because this is somewhere everyone collectively understands just how special and unique these sweet cats are. I miss her so badly it hurts my heart, but I know she knows how crazy we were over her. I’m adding a tattoo to my sleeve in a few days. A giant picture of Fiona and her ashes will be mixed in with the ink so I can truly carry her everywhere I go. |

I went to Hunter Health (in Kansas) in January 2023 to get a psychiatric evaluation because I was literally losing my mind. I was punching holes in walls, breaking my things, hurting myself, having severe mood shifts, extreme anger, fixating/persecutory delusions, etc.
I was diagnosed with PTSD and got help with meds (prozac 40mg, prozasin1mg for night terrors) that cost in total 34 dollars. Sliding scale psychiatric and therapy places exist. They may not be the best but starting out it helps. I'm going to therapy soon which will cost me another 30 dollars. WITHOUT INSURANCE!!! I need to emphasize that because I live in the US and health insurance is BS.
Please try to get help, get a diagnosis, takes meds, etc. It's helped me a lot. I second guess my feelings now and no longer wreck my shit. I have more control.
If there is a sliding scale facility near you (if you do not have insurance) I would highly consider going. It has helped me immensely and I am poor af. I have a grip on myself that I didn't have before.
